We enjoyed a fantastic evening at the Bell Plantation Christmas Preview evening. The food tasting was fab, the sausage rolls and pies were gorgeous, we have stocked up, and the fizz was perfect. Lots of beautiful Christmas decorations and gifts, we love this wonderful garden centre. Thank you for an amazing evening of (early!) festive fun!

Great selection of gift ideas for Christmas. Food hall is mainly frozen items, so could only give 4 stars. Popular restaurant / cafe with easy to use ordering system on your mobile. Service was quick and polite, friendly team soon delivers to your table - nothing to much trouble. Average price level.. Adequate parking.

A great experience. We were 7 adults and four children under 6. The food was excellent: adult breakfasts for us and kids breakfasts for them. All promptly delivered. Father Christmas sat with each table and spoke to each child in turn based on information pre-provided. Good quality presents. Plenty of photo opportunities. Staff friendly as ever. We all loved it and a great start to the run in to Christmas.

This was the 4th time we had been to do the Wreath Making session and have really enjoyed the evening in previous years. We were provided with Prosecco and a buffet style box each - following covid. This year was more expensive and there were too many participants making it rather cramped. Also we only had cheese and biscuits and samples of wine from someone selling his Wine.Rather disappointed. Especially considering the price had increased too.The Ladies giving the demonstration were excellent

Visited the garden centre for the first time in over five years as have lived away for some time. Absolutely lovely place with lots of things to see there. We really liked the old antiquities shop, with a mix of vintage and hand crafted goods. So many lovely gift ideas. The reptile centre was well maintained and the welfare of the reptiles was brilliant. Very helpful and will be back as my daughter is wanting a other snake or gecko . The garden centre was well kept, lots of stock, and the café was really nice with such friendly staff. We had a wasp saga and they made sure we were kept safe. There are other places here which I just simply didn't get time to see , but I'm sure if the standards of the rest of the plantation are anything to go by , will be amazing.

We visited for the first time on Sunday 17th September mainly for my Grandson to visit the play barn . Thought £7.50 was a bit expensive but he enjoyed it . Really don’t understand why adults have to pay to sit and watch their child play though . My two sons waited in the garden centre , I bought my husband a coffee and I left him to watch my grandson £2.50 wasted . We then had lunch , nice looking cafe with a good menu . We had to wait a while but working in the same industry I understand that . One son ordered a ploughman’s sandwich which came on a red hot plate obviously been on a hot plate resulting in the bread being very dry and crusty . The other ordered a Brie and bacon baguette it was so overcooked he could hardly eat ,it it was absolutely smothered in cranberry obviously to disguise the burntness .My scampi was ok as was my husband’s tuna melt baguette but having paid over £60 the meal was disappointing. On a good note the staff in the Play Barn and waiting staff were very pleasant . We loved the chickens and ducks etc . I was impressed by your variety of horticultural plants first time I’ve seen an Eremerus Robustus in a shop ,I had to buy online previously. I did sign up to a loyalty card so may be back . Just need to improve your restaurant presentation .

I attended the Wreath making workshop with a couple of my friends and was really impressed with everything about the evening. We were greeted by the Bell Plantation team who explained about the evening and gave us the opportunity to do a bit of exclusive shopping. The wreath making area was set in the café under the fairy lights and looked absolutely lovely. The floristry team from The Flower Story were brilliant passing on their knowledge and expertise and the quality of the foilage supplied was outstanding, I have been to others in the past and nowhere has compared to this. Not only did we get to make such a beautiful wreath but we had the opportunity to meet Josh from Vinebud, a wine shop based at Bell Plantation. Josh gave us the opportunity to try 3 different wines passing on his knowledge of where the wines came from and their taste notes, a great opportunity to get a better understanding of wine as so often you have to buy by just the look of a bottle on a shelf in a supermarket. This was a great added value to the evening. Our nibbles consisted of a selection of cheeses and biscuits that were available to order from Bell Plantation. There was a great selection all presented and looking delicious. I placed my order for Christmas cheese as when I tasted the charcoal briquette it was too good not to order.Overall a fantastic evening with great company and excellent value for money.

Worth going to. We stopped first at the fish and reptile shop where we enjoyed meeting some very sociable bearded dragons, amongst others. Next stop was the curios/antiques shop where we enjoyed browsing. We walked past the coffee/ice cream stall and the wine shop where they sell by the glass - should have indulged! Finally the garden centre where we enjoyed browsing a wide range of homewares, gift food and drink, and garden furniture and accessories. Out in the nursery I had been looking for a particular David Austin rose but when I found her she was drooping from lack of watering, which is something I noticed elsewhere with the hydrangeas, so I left her on the shelf. The range of garden statues is quite reasonably priced and attractive so I left with one of those instead. All in all, a very enjoyable couple of hours.
