The food was good under previous name Dolans but now even better. Mutton Curry excellent. Ann really enjoyed the Jack Fruit Curry. Ordered before delivery started - phone call to advise but still managed to get order to me early.

Unfortunately it wasn't a good experience, we tried a few dishes, the curry goat was actually gooey which I found quite odd. The fried chicken was nice and you can taste the seasoning past the coating. Service was the usual blasé but I will not be coming back. I asked to see the chicken I was told no, which I found odd...Probably only come back for the chicken and that's it...

Shame the curried chicken was so salty, otherwise would have been delicious. It was also pretty spicy and it's usually the milder option, so that should be made clear on the menu. Macaroni cheese was good. Dumplings, nothing special. Salad was not fresh, and literally just a few lettuce leaves and sad looking cucumber and tomato slices, no seasoning or dressing. I was really looking forward to trying this place and to find a Caribbean in York after missing my local in London, so pretty disappointed.

Been again. Still great. Thanks for the raw plantines my wife made a lovely meal. See attachedWe have not lived in York long but noticed Caribbean looking sign a couple of times. WHAT A FIND!!!We had friends around to watch the Euros so I though what better food than Patties, Ackee & Saltfish, Curry & rice and peas. The dumplings were a bonus.The guy who served me was great and gave advice on heating. (Patties in tin foil and in the oven for 10-15 mins.)Our friends really enjoyed the food and for my wife & I it was like being back on holiday.Lovely, lovely food.

Absolutely great, went on a Sunday so not a full menu but had the curried goat, beef and chicken wings which were all delicious. Best was the service which was spot on. Will definitely go again.

Just had oxtail and chips the oxtail wouldn't come off the bone Just paid £9 quid should of been £2 there was nothing there as you can see from the picture will not be going back

Some beautiful food in here, I had the peppered steak and dumpling with rice and peas. Very tasty, but I should of ask for more sauce. Very friendly. First time I tried but definitely going again

Had Jerk chicken with Rice & Peas and a dumpling - £9Sadly the chicken was dry and was only 2 small drumsticks which I was very dissapointed with. The flavour was okay. I was given a small tub of jerk sauce which helped the meal but you could still tell the chicken was very dry. The rice & peas were nice.I'd have rather paid £12 for a larger portion of chicken.Fried Dumpling was okay, cant really go wrong with them.

Google maps overview says open Monday, so walked all the way from York centre for curried goat or similar, and not open! I'm sure the place is good and hope to return another time. Shows the importance of info being kept up-to-date, or not in this case.
