Nice Stitches

My family and I have been coming to Meg at Nice Stitches for almost a decade - she is absolutely brilliant. Her work is always of the highest standard and no job is too big or small - a lot of the times I have given items which I need altered within 24 hours and she has always delivered. Over the years I have also used her service for alterations to my indian outfits too - some of which were heavily embroidered and she has always done an amazing job.We have also recently started using their dry cleaning service - and again have been extremely impressed with the results.I would highly recommend this business.

Fixed my coat for a really cheap price and was finished the next day and you couldn’t even tell it was altered

I was travelling up to Staffordshire from Brighton for a wedding and needed to have a last minute alteration to my shirt. We called the shop up en route to our destination and asked if they could do what we needed, advised they could so we made a little detour to the shop. We arrived at the shop and was greeted by a friendly member of staff (Christine). She measured me up and after a little sweet talking managed to get the shirt done within the hour we had on our car parking ticket. Would recommend this shop to anyone passing through the town. Great staff and great service all round!!!!!!

I took a dress in to have a panel put down either side as it became snug after having my 2nd child. They did a fantastic job! Highly reccomend 10/10

I have used them several times and they've have always been well priced and terrific. Can't praise them high enough.

We had a wool mattress topper dry cleaned. Happy that this local dry cleaner offered the eco cleaning system. Unfortunately our mattress topper has been returned ruined. It went in with a slight water mark. It has been returned flat, wool seems to have compacted/shrunk and the outer cotton fabric is bobbled all over. Also, when we initially went to collect the topper it had been misplaced. We had to wait to speak to the manager before it was located.

Pre-pandemic I was coming here for years getting all my clothes shortened for my petite height and frame. They did an excellent job each time and got it done in a timely manner. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Second time i have used Nice Stiches, and i would recommend them to the moon and back!! they do a really good job and at a reasonable price. I will be going back again!!

DO NOT USE. AWFUL PEOPLE AND AWFUL SERVICE. This has to be the worst experience ever. I am due to get married at the end of February and my mother had her dress altered here. She came in a couple of weeks ago to get her dress altered in preparation for my big day - the seamstress who tended to my mother's dress did not take any care in listening to my mother's concerns when she was pinning the dress into position. The seamstress kept reassuring her and speaking over her (instead of listening) that it'll be okay. My mum did not have a lot of confidence thinking had she left the dress with the right people, so she returned asking about the pinned alterations to confirm the seamstress was aware of the loose areas. My mother went back a week later as she was still concerned about the seamstress not listening, my mum specifically asked for the dress to be shorter and the seamstress outlined with the current areas being pinned upwards it would reduce the length naturally. My mother went in Wednesday for the fitting to find the dress very tight by the sternum and under her arms. The dress was still incredibly long and naturally my mum was very upset. My mum tried to tell them it wasn't right and that the dress was ruined, to then have the same seamstress shout at my mother calling her nothing but a liar. She became aggressive and then a gentleman who was hoovering (who was the manager) wholly stood up for the seamstress and did not even listen to my mother's concerns. He then said to my mum Once you have agreed to the pinned sections you cannot return the item or have a refund". So

Dreadful service. Like the other reviewer went to get a pocket stitched up which came apart again - after expensive charge - 3 times after wearing. Went back - at inconvenience, to get there before they closed at a stupid 3pm on a Saturday. Arrived just after 2:45 and all shut up! What sort of a business operates like this? Go so,where else - they don't seem to be able to do anything right!
