Ron comes with recommendations from pretty much everyone I see on the River Lea and Regents Canal. We had Ron over to perform our boat safety examination. He took his time, went through bits we were interested in and came away feeling knew the reason behind the safety scheme. Ron gave us chance to amend slight things to meet the standards on the day. As with every other review here, Ron comes with high recommendations from us as well :-)

Ron has been a godsend. After many months wading through various Brexit and COVID related excuses it has been a breath of fresh air to engage such a knowledgeable, professional and all round top bloke!Thrown in for good measure is plenty of comedy banter and generously assisting in other areas without even being asked.We’re cooking on gas now, as they say, and very grateful, cheers Ron!

Ron Gooding came to my boat and completed a BSS for me. He was punctual, pleasant and extremely helpful. I’ve been living on my boat for five years and he’s one of the best traders I’ve dealt with. I’m so glad I made contact with him because I’ll definitely use him again. Really nice guy and really good service. I really recommend him.

This is the 3rd time we’ve had Ron to do the BSS on our various boats. As ever he was really friendly and easy to make the appointment, turned up when he said, and did the inspection really thoroughly and efficiently. Explained/talked through bits as he went.There’s always a few bits that need doing, and that’s reassuring that nothing is overlooked. I hope Ron keeps offering this service for a long time so we can keep using it.Thoroughly recommend.

We had our BSS on our NB done by Ron yesterday. Very positive experience, Ron is knowledgeable and efficient. He made the whole process seem a lot smoother than we were expecting and helped guide us correct a few things with free consumables and materials. Highly recommended.

The yard is great, there’s no places in London you can work on your own boat, get a bit of advice and tea on tap. Good value and a lot of extras that you wouldn’t get on the towpath.Moved my bilge from horror show to half way respectable in no time at all, and getting stuck in to a partial refit...easy to bring a vehicle up and take your rubbish to the tip instead of towpath fly tippingGas, electric and engine service if you want too...I can fault the yard or the help from Ron, it’s not a big operation so don’t expect a 24hour service....be nice, no manners no spanners!
