Hillcrest Residential Home

No PPE during Covid, no concepts of masks or sanitising shopping brought in, shouted at us for not visiting my fathers 90 birthday when a family member of ours had Covid-19 respiratory disease. Being influenced by another family member that could not pass a DBS and preys on vulnerable people.

Absolutely no Google reviews on the care home, but as soon as a member of staff was caught taking pictures of the residents and shaming them by sending them to her partner, suddenly gained 3 5 star reviews, after receiving a 1 star review. I'd go as far as saying it's the owners and staff trying to boost ratings back up to cover up then issues with the home.

I was googling the number for hillcrest for my neighbour, when I came across the comments, despite living in hindley I have recommended this home many times, this home is a special place, not many directors of homes know the residents like Margaret and Lorrane, not many directors will take time to listen to the homes manager and staff. That is what makes the difference about this home , they have a holistic approach, staffing levels are excellent. I've known numerous times where they have gone above and beyond, as as a ex home manager of care homes I can tell you now this is one of the best .

I worked at Hillcrest for over two years as a senior.Policies and procedures are adhered to every single day. Regular updated training given to staff to cover all areas of care.Hillcrest is more like a home than a place to work, such a lovely atmosphere.I was sad to leave but the hours did not suit me after my circumstances changed. I would go back in a heartbeat otherwise.Thank you for the great opportunity of working with such an amazing team.

I worked here for 3 years it has a home from home feel which you don't get in many places all staff members care for residents as if they were family, the pandemic hit everyone hard but they have full PPE at disposal, regular covid tests which is such a piece of mind for everyone,and I'm very proud to say the home has been covid free from the start.All staff have worked tirelessly to keep it out of the home and service users safety is top priority, I couldn't be more proud to say I was part of such a great team.This home is filled with love and laughter and that is such a wonderful thing to have, stay safe our unsung hereos, I hope one day soon I can come back and visit x

I worked here many years ago. Its was a cosy homely place with lovely staff. The owners Margaret and Lorrane were amazing to work for. They were not only great with the staff but absolutely fantastic with the residents. With these 2 in charge I have no doubt things have remained the same.
