Would give it 0 if i could.First of all the waiting times are shocking sat around for about 6 hours with my boyfriend with no results so we had left and gone elsewhere. There was no suitable food either we were very hungry and did not want vending machine food and they do not cater for muslims etc.I am white myself but my boyfriend is not and i could tell these people are racist. Just look at the reviews here the majority of good reviews are just from other caucasians people.I would recommend going to a hospital elsewhere for suitable treatment. As far as i was aware doctors are supposed to treat everyone of all ethnicity fairly. One of my cousins mrs went in as she was due to give birth she was in heavy labour and a lot of pain they made her wait in the waiting room for over an hour before anyone came to see her. (She is Asian too)

Absolute joke of an establishment, staff don’t communicate , a and e wait is utterly disgraceful, facilities are outdated , the car park is so far away from the a and e dept and no offer of a wheelchair when carrying someone . Quite honestly a disgrace of a place in comparison to other hospitals ( update now waiting four hours when sign suggests no more than two hours wait )

I had to attend great western hospital on Thursday 20/7/23. This is my second time in 3 months. As on my last visit I was well impressed with the treatment I received from the receptionist to the nurses and the radiographer. It was all seemless and so professional from arrival to discharge. My most profound thanks to all the staff at this hospital.thank you. N.H.S.

If you can avoid Ben, the young inexperienced A and E doctor who is dismissive of women’s health issues, you’ll be fine. I got the help I needed in the end… no thanks to him whatsoever. I was in too much pain to advocate for myself but thankfully a female (doctor or nurse) I am unsure of who stepped in as I was busy bleeding out in the toilet…!! Anyway it was nice knowing someone had my back and didn’t put my excessive bleeding and pain to being “normal for women”. I know what a heavy period is you jerk, this was not that.Anyway thanks to the ladies who triaged me in first instance, the lady who helped advocate for me when I couldn’t myself and the amazing gynaecology team on 2nd floor who I could not fault at all, was seen quickly and given good pain relief and care! Thanks for taking care of me :)

My partner had a emergency during the covid lockdown, reception staff who would not even give me a moment to speak or explain what my concerns were with her, they were more bothered I waited outside and were very rude, judgemental and abnoixous about this. I was extremely worried and upset leaving my partner all alone in the waiting room in a vunerable state. The whole place was empty, no risk of covid whatsoever, when I looked through the window the three ladies in reception were having a good old chat with one another, seemed to be enjoying having no one in the A&E waiting room. Covid gave them a excuse to pretty much not care about any other other illnesses but Covid. If they had taken the time to listen to my concerns throughout the ordeal my partner may of survived. Totally unforgivable, considering these awful restrictions were implemented by corrupt lying sellouts such as Matt Hancock, Boris Johnson, Chris Whitty, Patrick Vallance who to my disgust were having parties, affairs, profiting and doing whatever they wished. I wasn't even allowed to be beside my partner that night, nor the first night she passed away (things didn't get better at the ICU ward, where the miserable head nurse seemed to be on a power trip not allowing me to visit my dying partner due to restrictions, I literally had to beg and plead, explained that this is my last chance to see her alive, only on the second day I was finally allowed, I had lost that precious night thanks to this horrid woman. She even had the audacity to make offensive comments, judgments, showed zero compassion a total sociopath). It didn't stop there, the evil people here also said only one loved one was allowed to be present whilst they switched off the life support. To live with the guilt of knowing we couldn't give her dignified passing like she deserved.Unforgivable, unprofessional, not sure where all our hard earned taxes go, clearly they are underfunded, mismanaged and don't have the funds to employ the best staff who are compassionate and enjoy helping people.

I understand that the NHS is working hard, but for such a developed country like the UK to wait 5 hours to see a doctor on Urgent Treatment Centre it is a madness.....only to get some antibiotics

The nhs is at breaking point and so I leave this only as a review that I hope is seen.I came today after been urgently referred due to severe side effects of a drug I was given by my GP.My trust with A&E is low having been turned away weeks before finding out I needed emergency surgery.Admin and nurses did their best to reassure me but I had been immediately written off for simply stating I would need to sit if there was a wait. My main symptoms being weakness, dizziness and blurred vision. I was condescended to, and told to basically be quiet under the guise I was being protected and was in a safe space. While trying to tell them in the only way I could as an autistic woman that I needed immediate help and was already feeling judged less than 2 mins through the door.I say and waited patiently after the initial nurse triage in which they reassured me and did the best they could with the large amount of health issues I have. But we’re at least saying the right things. And helping me overcome my own anxiety about even being there. However it might as well have been lies because although I know they were trying their best I ultimately was told to go home and that my severe dizziness and fatigue and blurred vision was not a worry for the eye clinic if it “was only associated with the drug”. I was also cut off when trying to explain that I was also worried about the side effects themselves and not just the worst ones (closed angle glaucoma). I am now going home knowing my biggest fears that I were confirmed no matter the condescension and baseless promises wouldn’t happen, has happened. And can go on the long list of NHS failures I tried so desperately to stop before it began and another tick on the “why even bother” list. If I had full health and wellness to proceed and fight I would. But why would I when even asking to sit down on a chair was received so badly.

Worst hospital A&E I have ever experienced. Girlfriend has a severe head injury and was sat waiting 6+ hours. When I thought head injuries had to be treated immediately to avoid brain damage.I couldn't give less than a 1 star

My partner needed treatment for extreme pain probably caused by endometriosis. She has not been out of bed for more than 2 weeks and when we finally gave in to go to hospital, I was amazed by the poor service. We have waited in A&E for more than 12 hours so far and have not seen a doctor. I know there are problems with the NHS but the and the staff we have met have been lovely. It's just we came here to get medical help, not just pain relief, and medical help seems in very short supply.
