JD Gyms Wolverhampton
Where do I start, the gym is eh but probably the worst I have ever been to. Here is a list of cons:- Parking is awful, this gym is over-saturated so there are not enough spaces to accommodate frequent users. Don’t bother going at peak time if you drive.- The equipment is made out of cheap material that rips easily and hasn’t been updated for years! It’s shocking and makes you wonder what JD is doling with the money that members spend every month.- Broken equipment and machines, yet again have not been replaced/mended for ages.- Out of all JD gyms in the country I think Wolverhampton looks the least modern and least ‘updated’ this gym needs a re-vamp asap!!!- In general I find some of the males in this gym quite intimidating and weird around attractive women like myself which puts me off going, especially alone. Not something the gym itself can control but please men that attend this gym do not ogle and stare obnoxiously at the girls here it’s uncomfortable and some of us want to get in and out without you acting like you’ve never seen a woman before.- The toilets are dire, I never use them. Sometimes no soap in the dispensers which is crazy considering how unhygienic gyms are.- Gym goers never put their weights back which is extremely annoying, especially for those that struggle to take off numerous 25kg plates.- I never see anyone clean the machines after themselves.- To be honest, I don’t find the staff to be approachable or friendly at all. I don’t see myself going to them for help if ever I need it. In previous gyms I’ve been to staff say hello and smile - I’ve never noticed that here.I think the only good things about this gym is that there is a womens section which is nice, but this can obviously be busy during peak times.I would go to Energie Fitness but it is further away, but at some point I will be moving there instead. Overall Wolverhampton doesn’t have good gyms, but I would not recommend JD to anybody.I hope Wolverhampton has a better gym soon that is modern, spacious, better quality equipment and frequently maintained/repaired when damaged because there are somewhat decent ones here but none stand out as being the full package.

My go to gym, good size, always clean, now introduced new machines. The one little thing I would say is keep an eye on the mens changing rooms and potentially have a door on the bathrooms between changing room and toilets. Aside from that love this gym

Huge gym. Had everything you want. Plenty of squat racks, benches, free weights. Huge studio. Good for beginners and regulars. Plenty of machines so no waiting time. Fantastic equipment. There's a womens only section (a small room with basically one of each machine, no bench or squat rack but there is a smith machine). Small sauna in the changing room. I wish there was more walking space between the machine, it felt like I was stepping on toes despite it being such a big gym. Definitely worth switching to this gym.

Decent gym. My only complaint is that it's small for the amount of people it serves. It feels like it's always packed and having to wait for machines and weights etc. I tend to attend the gym between 5am-8am and it's already packed by 5:30am. The only time it's been quiet would be on Saturday/Sunday at the same times. Wish it was bigger

Lovely clean spacious gym with ple ty of equipment for everyone and classes to suit all different needs but no clases from 12 till 5 which is a shame and the way timetable is laid out isnt very suitable they also jave a ladys sections not as slasicous as it kooks online but still a nice room with great equipment. The other only down fall is no swimming pool when an another gym has all everything better tine table and is only 10 a month which is more then half the price also with no joininh fee and access two 3 of their gyms. Also make sure and bring a lock woth you but you can purchase one from machine for 5pounds. Plenty of locker and very slacious changing rooms with separate cupical to change in if anyone was self conscious cha ging infront of anyone which i think is a great idea. I loom forward to seeing how the classes go :)

Its a good gym but my rating is more a reflection how available some of the equipment is. It's oversubscribed (if a gym can ever be) I've tried going after 9 at night and during the day always struggle to find weights area or machines free to use. It's not ideal when you have to wait every time in the middle of a workout for a bench or weights or a machine to be free. I've been going for over a month and the chest fly machine (only one) has never once been free to use.

Good equipment and excellent variety. Lots of space so not on top of each other. This is a workout gym though, you won't see people on their phones unless recording themselves for form.

Only giving this gym a 3 stars because I expected it to be bigger and better than my normal JD Gym in Brieley Hill. It’s not a bad gym and it’s got helpful staffs like Liam at the counter.I went to this gym hoping it would have better equipments and be more spacious as the gym video shows on the website but it’s actually not that big on the ground floor where all the equipments are.I only went because it has a Sauna and my normal JD Gym doesn’t. Also found myself needing to buy water and snacks from the vending machine and that cost a arm and a leg but it’s expected I guess. It’s an Okay Gym but it feels a bit old, and even the dumbbells they have doesn’t have the right feel. Overall, it’s an average gym.Since I have a Plus membership, I’ll give it another go but not anytime soon.

It's an okay gym but definitely not at the standard of most other JD Gyms. Weight Trees are permanently empty and no staff are seen around the gym area. Hard to get hold of a staff member or PT if there are any issues. Men's toilets are almost never clean and smell worse than festival toilets. Always seems to be issues with sauna/showers/toilets/drinks fountain.
