We only had one course --- Haddock and chips --- and it was delicious !! The fish was a perfect treat as was the chips.The service was friendly, prompt and courteous.Meal pleasantly enjoyed on a beautiful evening with the sun shining over Peterhead Bay.Worth a visit.

Update: September 2021, I'm delighted to say that my dad has been back a couple o times lately and found the staff VERY welcoming and helpful. I'm therefore revising my rating and review with the understanding that my original review was on a bad day, or during a dip in service quality that has apparently been rectified :-) I look forward to getting back to verify for misell once travel allows it.

First time visiting impressed with the food however the service let it down very slow even so not every busy. Our coffee came quickly but our fancy pieces were another 15 minutes. And was not impressed with them.

Absolutely spoiled for choice here. Big portions. Food was really nice. Staff friendly. Place is always clean. And the views from here are excellent. It over looks the lido. Always something interesting going on. There is also a play park just down the hill to take the kids after lunch. Highly recommend this place :)

In our week in the N.East this is the third Symposium we have been in and each one has been impressive. Once again very friendly staff who could tell us one had just opened in Glasgow so another one to visit nearer home. This one had interesting views across the harbour as well as a good choice of food. Just had a fruit scone today but it was light and very tasty with butter and jam included. At this rate, mite need to get a loyalty card.

I use symposium alot but think some areas regards clearing and cleaning tables need improved. Others commenting on it today. Table we sat at was clear but table hadn't been wiped down. As crumbs on it on closer inspection. No other tables were cleared so we excepted it didn't make a fuss. Coffees came lovely as always but waiter put the stirrers straight on the dirty table. Table next to us had lots of plates on it customers sat down on it which was their choice but when the coffee was delivered the plates weren't taken away and once again stirrers put directly on the table. Coffee is always great staff always friendly. Think they just need a extra person on to keep tables clean and sanitised especially at these times

Absolute gem of a place.Bagels, pancakes, sandwiches and home bakes.Small menu but plenty choice and freshLarge windows offering a fantastic view of the harbourThe staff are brilliant. So friendly and hard working.

Canadian pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup, a great winter warmer, good tasty portion nicely presented and served by friendly staff.The coffee here is a nice roast and worth checking out, to be enjoyed with a view of the bay, usually something interesting going on whatever the time of year

Can take a while to get what you've ordered but I think this is down to staff. Our table wasn't cleaned before we were served. Just seems that it could be coordinated a little better
