5 finance ladies who have never done anything like this before did Apartment 9. We needed one small clue to get started and our phone torches to see clues better (but that’s probably down to some of our ages!!). Once we got going, it all flowed really well and the time just flew by. We escaped with time to spare. The reception lady was lovely but luckily we only needed help the once. Enjoyable hour spent and then went for tea afterwards.

Booked the shawshank room for me and my partner for his birthday. I was really impressed and enjoyed the experience from beginning to end. The girls at reception were lovely and told us what was going to happen. Although we didn’t escape I would definitely go again.

First time visiting an escape room and was not left disappointed.Staff was very friendly, fun and welcoming, the room and puzzles themselves were lots of fun and challenging but not difficult to the point of frustration, they were just right.

We recently completed the new room A Discovery of Dragons" with time to spare. We found there to be a good variety of puzzles to work through. The host was friendly

Amazing escape room, we did apartment 9 with 5 people and loved it!! Wasn't too easy or too hard the member of staff was so so lovely and we had so much fun!! We will definitely be back to try another room!

A great escape room. Good activity for the whole family. Took my teenagers (13 and 15) and they were able to join in (in fact they were better than me) . Staff friendly and welcoming.

A DISCOVERY OF DRAGONS...We've done 2 other rooms at Crack The Code in the past (our very 1st escape room was there in fact) so we were already expecting good things - A Discovery of Dragons did NOT disappoint!The room officially launches today but as competition winners, we were lucky enough to try it out yesterday...The puzzles are well thought out and interesting, tying in with the theme brilliantly and, even though we've done a number of rooms over time, there we're ideas we'd not seen before.The staff (both Jack and the owners ) were great - Would absolutely recommend!Enjoy!

We did the apartment 9 room last week, 2 adults and a 14 year old, the room worked well for the time allowed and flowed well. Will definitely return.

Update:I was contacted after the poor experience we had & offered a chance to escape from “Apartment 9”. It’s a good, murder mystery themed room & for us, was a good mix of challenges & didn’t feel impossible with just the two of us. Jack, our host, was really nice, quick on the hints & overall a good host!We did manage to escape within the hour & did enjoy this room far better than the Dragons one.This room has definitely been a complete opposite experience to the other!!—Was very excited to try the dragon room after reading the hype about it online but was left really let down. We were a party of 2 & to be honest, I felt there’s little chance you can succeed with less than 4 people..There is no tech used at all, a lot of deciphering letters & just a long, tedious task rather than mentally challenging. Lost so much potential. There is not a single element of “searching” or “finding” items to help you escape - its just drawn out puzzles to eat away at your remaining time. You might as well just sit an exam & save yourself £40 odd.Host was very polite but the method of support is lacking. Left waiting for minutes after requesting help as we were lost - only to be shown a notepad app with some hints being typed (expected a proper hint method & more professional approach than this). We could hear receptionist on a call for the entire hour & didn’t help the immersive or concentration (this was made more frustrating when we left waiting a while for clues)!Overall, for the over 15 escape rooms we’ve done at various places, this ranks the lowest. Not immersive, not interesting & not cheap. Go elsewhere.
