First Group

A big thumbs down to the attitude of the driver of the 372 Almondbury Bus at apx 16.40 today 02-09-21 who thought it acceptable to drive down Westgate then at the junction of Lord Street go straight through a red traffic light that had been at red apx 5 seconds at least! as he drove the bus along Wakefield Road he left it till last minute to stop at a amber light changing to red. Getting off the bus at the Ivy Green bus stop I said to him you should know better than to go through a blatant red light as you have worked for First long enough. His reply nearly floored me as he said I don,t care this bus has no cameras on! I said to him you are joking right and he said get off the bus I have passengers waiting I said I was going to report him and he muttered something like go on then I don,t care.Later as I was furious by this I went back to town and saw a Jake who said he was a relief supervisor this was at the Macualey Street Office I asked him to have a word with him regarding the driver of fleet number 69564 which he said he would and I told him if he would have owned up to it and said sorry I would have let it go but due to his rude and ignorant matter I would now take it further including reporting it to the Police.I have been of the buses of this driver before and whilst his driving has been not bad his dour manner to passengers needs to be worked on! Everybody has bad days myself included and have been a bus driver myself but running red lights and being rude First Bus address it!!!

So glad I got my phone back when I misplaced it on a 328 bus two weeks ago. Good job guys! Great service in all. Keep it up guys.

Sat 13th July 2019 , 11:30am , 306 to Newsome , Asian Driver. In Huddersfield bus station even though bus was parked up on back wall for 10 minutes by the time it had pulled into Bus bay it was running LATE. Now front half of single decker was full oaps were having to go up steps into back of bus and even though 5 people mainly oaps were queing to get upto back of bus Driver decided to reverse bus back out of bay anyway regardless he could clearly see passengers still wasn't seated causing 1 oap to nearly fall going up steps.This bus is rigged full of CCTV CAMERAS so please check this incident yourselves

Absolutely atrocious customer service!You don't answer your telephone!Poor frequency of service, due to drivers parking on Huddersfield Bus Station back wall, with no changeover driver, meaning buses frequently miss and with no announcements or notices at electronic timetables.Annoying when children are trying to get home after school work experience, let alone anyone else for that matter.Also no evening service after 6pm in my area during week, non after 4.30 on Saturday, no Sunday service only 1 an hour at next nearest route, half a mile away.You charge more fare to go up my own road from town, yet it's 50p cheaper to catch the next nearest bus which stops further away from town.You cannot rely on keeping your job if you have an early start as you cannot after walking into town first thing in a morning, rely on driver and/or bus turning up.I give you 1 * for just trying, and boy you are that!

Dont care much for first groups management nor the way some of there staff treat customers......

First the company itself (all of the U.K.) is actually good, but the Huddersfield service is rubbish.

Way over priced and a poor evening service. Worst prices of all First Group in West Yorkshire and worst evening service. Usually cheaper by taxi if there is more to han 1 of you.
