A very disappointing visit. Having been a supported of the Dogs Trust at Harefield since it opened, and having adopted my own dog from there 8yrs ago. We were spoken to rudely by two members of staff having just dropped a donation off and were possibly interested in adopting one of the dogs as a doggy sister for our current rescue.

Dog rehoming centre. Well kept kennels with outside spaces for dogs. All dogs have toys and nice beds and blankets. They are obviously well cared for.Nice environment with plenty of space.Could do with reinstating the shop and cafe for top marks though.Although there are items to buy from a table inside the main reception area.

Me and my family have been coming here for years and have always found Harefield Dogs Trust lovely and in particular the staff members always friendly and polite. However there has been multiple occassions now when a particular member of staff has been extremely rude and also telling us we cannot interact to the dogs behind the glass ie: crouching down or even saying hello and showing interest in them despite other staff members allowing us and other members of the public to do so. I can understand if there is a sign up but please make this more clear. How are you meant to get to know your future dog by not getting down to its level. This has now unfortunately put us off coming here for the foreseeable. Just wanted to say thank you to the other staff for being so polite.

We love all the team at Dogs trust, we've rehomed a few dogs from there now, recently just got a puppy. The support you get is lovely, the dogs are all so well cared for and loved by the team, they all just want the best for the dogs.

This is a wonderfull place, run by extraordinary people. The time and effort they put into caring for and rehoming the dogs in their care is exemplary. Our whole experience of adopting our new pooch was made into a wonderfull.experience by Dogs trust Harefield.

Extremely undertrained and undereducated staff, absolutely no attempt to train dogs, and no ability to handle them - let out only twice a day!Completely ignored several emails asking for medical info to register with a vet, acted like signs of hip displacia were no issue whatsoever and couldn't even identify it themselves.Watched TWO of their staff get dragged along to my dog by the Alsatian I was looking to adopt, because they couldn't control it, to then be told the two couldn't get along was ludicrous. What on earth was expected in that scenario? Dog's Trust need to start employing properly qualified individuals who understand the calm environments dogs should be introduced together in.The dark haired women in particular who dealt with Zena's meeting at 2pm today should never be allowed around Alsatians again - because that dog and others will continue to suffer if no-one starts to help them properly, or at least teaches the staff how to start doing itWill be writing a letter to head office about dog introduction procedures and ensuring staff are properly trained to handle such situations. You should NEVER leave a customer in the position of being the only one capable of controlling a dog, and having to split up potential issues themselves.I will never use the Dog's Trust again, and would never consider donating again out of sheer shock at how poorly both adoptions and animal care are handled.I feel so bad for the dog...

I am absolutely DISHEARTENED by this dog shelter and how innocent dogs and puppies are treated, my friend went to prison a few months ago and her dog was sent to this exact shelter and I only found out recently about it, i wanted to foster her dog while she was in prison while the shelter has claimed that nobody else would, I only found out today from my husband that the dog was euthanised to make room for incoming dogs, which is a terrible excuse to euthanise someone’s pet, i do not know how I am going to tell my friend that her own dog is dead, in fact, she is coming out of prison on Christmas because she was accused of a crime she didn’t do, Kill shelters are absolutely DISGUSTING and I hope his place shuts down, May Skaya rest in peace.

The loveliest place. Staff are really friendly and helpful and really care about the rescue dogs. The dogs are clearly well looked after.
