10/10 if comes to communication and being looked for by Kirsty and Ellie. After an awful experience with our estate agent these ladies were there for us, helped us with every little query we'd have even if it was just an update how process of selling flat was going on. Definitely would recommend if you'd need a solid solicitors

GoodLaw are amazing, but it is a shame about the steps or more that we don’t have a law that makes the CONservative government fund accessibility rights for all, in all buildings. In the mean time. Much love & strength to you all.

We chose GoodLaw Solicitors and are delighted with our choice. It was our first experience with a conveyancer and George Coomber was superb throughout. Communication was excellent, all queries were responded to within 48 hours and often 2-4 hours. Even our trickier queries were dealt with quickly and professionally. We felt confident with George on our side and all legal advice was sound. He was very transparent with progress throughout and fees. Only slight issue was that all verification had to be completed via paper copies in the office. Would definitely look to use again and would recommend when buying locally!

EDIT (reply):Thanks for your reply. I do in fact feel it is exactly my place to review your firm, when I have been directly impacted by your substandard work and am £190 out of pocket as a result and there are no consequences to you. Are you going to give me that money back? Didn't think so. With regards to feedback from your clients, I spoke to the buyer of my flat who used you and explained what happened with the delayed completion - he said dealing with you was difficult at times as he had to chase you up on occasions because of unanswered emails. He also found it frustrating that you forgot to include the price for contents on his completion statement, something which an astute conveyancing firm surely wouldn't miss.-----------Original review (posted c. 26th October)Disclaimer & Background: I did not use this solicitor, however they acted for the buyer of my flat and the seller of the house I was buying. The buyers were first time buyers and I was buying a property that was chain free - therefore a very short chain.Give how short this chain was and that GoodLaw were the solicitors on either end of it, you'd think this would be plain sailing - but with GoodLaw solicitors at the wheel, this was anything but.I would avoid this solicitor or any deal that involves this solicitor acting for a buyer or seller of a property that is part of your chain, unless you fancy chasing them to do their job.The two main sticking points I have with this firm involve essentially the two main parts of any house deal - exchange & completion! We ended up missing our exchange date by 1.5 weeks as a result of GoodLaw not acknowledging receipt of emails for responses to enquiries they raised, on behalf of my buyer. They even denied they had received said emails from a week prior when the estate agents questioned them (I had been copied into the emails by my solicitor, therefore knew they'd been sent). We eventually exchanged and it gave me a week between exchange and completion because of the delay...Completion day is another palava.Whilst I wrote this review, my removals van had been packed up for nearly 3 hours and I was paying for the van to sit on the road, solely because GoodLaw forgot to send a correct completion statement to the buyer of my flat (they missed out ~£305 for contents that the buyers were purchasing). As a result, there were significant delays to my purchase going through and I had to fork out an extra £305 on the day of completion to get my purchase over the line, as well as the extra money for my removals company hire (as they charge by the hour!) We also didn't complete prior to the 2pm cut off, therefore they were technically in breach of contract. To add a cherry on top of the icing on top of the piss poor cake that is GoodLaw Solicitors, there was one final delay on completion day.I sent my extra funds over at 2:17pm. My solicitors confirmed the funds left their account at around 2:30pm. By 3:20pm I was still none the wiser and chasing solicitors and agents for an update. My solicitors ended up having to ask GoodLaw to chase up their own accounts department to check that the funds had been received, prior to finally completing at 3:27pm.The fact I've had to chase this firm on multiple occasions, essentially to do the bare minimum / their job (check emails & respond, send their clients accurate completion statements and chase their own accounts department) truly shows what an incompetent firm they are. And they wanted to charge me over £4k to use them for completion & sale! Thank god I steered clear.I would wholeheartedly recommend you stay clear of this law firm for Conveyancing work (maybe other departments fare better). I initially got a quote from them and it is well in excess of what I ended up paying with the conveyancers I used, with an evidently far lower quality of work.I've enquired about claiming the money back for the extra 3hours or removal company labour, but am classically yet to hear anything back 2 weeks later.Avoid.

I cannot express what a pleasure it has been to deal with Malvina with regards to my separation. I really appreciated how efficient and speedy Malvina was when it came to responding to emails and moving my divorce and financial agreement forward. Nothing was too much trouble and I knew she would do everything she could to act in my best interest. I had every confidence that any concerns would be ironed out seamlessly and smoothly. I would recommend Malvina if you are going through a divorce or any matter in fact. You will not be disappointed. Thank you for everything Malvina and for your 5 star service!

Excellent Conveyancing Service. George and Suzy kept us informed and guided us all the way through our flat purchase. They were very quick to answer any questions. The costs seemed reasonable and were broken down into all the different elements so that they could be understood. We would highly recommend and when needed we will be using them again.

We had a really positive experience using Goodlaw Solicitors for our house purchase. Our main contact was George Coomber who was extremely professional, helpful and communicative. He was great at explaining each step of the process very clearly and was always efficient in responding to any queries we had. However, the thing we appreciated the most was how human and empathetic he was in his approach. Thank you so much, George!

Given the abundance of subpar solicitors, it was a relief to find Goodlaw (special mention to Gareth). Timely, quality and professional advice that could be understood in plain English. Highly appreciated for what turned out to be a rather complex case.
