Ulfat's The Venue

We booked this venue for a small last minute event, agreed on a price and what was included and everything appeared to be going smoothly. With less than 2 weeks for the event when we paid another visit to visualise colour schemes and additional decor we bought to spruce up the stage, 'the guy' then tells us that the stage is not included in the price. 3 people were present when booking the hall initially that can attest otherwise, pictures were even taken of the stage at the time of booking. He was extremely rude and demanded £1000 more (which he cut down to £500 more) for the stained white stage setting that we bought additional decor to cover up for. Knowing how difficult it would be to find another venue with such short notice he had a very bad attitude and told us they'd cancel the booking if we didn't want to pay. The price was not the issue as we went on to pay £1000 more at a much better venue, but it was the fact that he had a disgusting attitude and tried to extort more money after an agreement had been made. If it was a genuine mistake & he explained with manners that he accidentally included the stage & it would be additional, we would have understood and paid. However we know of 2 other people (one who received the same quote and another that booked this venue a few months ago) that paid the same initial price including the stage. So this was just extortion for a community center looking venue with nothing to offer. It was a blessing in disguise though, as we went on to finding a beautiful venue for £1000 more which was perfect (Excalibur Grand).

My experience with the main person was disappointing as their attitude seemed rude and focused solely on financial gain, leaving me feeling taken advantage of. I hope this feedback helps others make more informed decisions about choosing a venue. Maybe continue your search elsewhere

Nice hall and excellent food and service. Held an event here for around 110 people, there was plenty of space and everything went smoothly. Plenty of parking too
