I recently had a problem with my pc where it failed to boot up one morning and I was naturally somewhat concerned it had ‘died’.I handed over my pc to David Kilpatrick at iTEXS - who passed it onto his technical team there.Rather than accept that it was a six year old pc which may have 'failed' – they very quickly looked into the possible causes of the boot up problem to see if it could be saved. Indeed they diagnosed that there was an issue with the most recent update to the windows operating system – which in effect was causing the pc to fail to start. I know this because they very helpfully gave me a call to advise me about the situation with my pc, greatly putting me at ease!Having diagnosed the issue, they set about getting the PC put right. First they ‘backed up’ all of my data, stripped back the updates, and then performed a ‘fresh install’ of the operating system. They ran some tests to ensure it started up – it did!On its being returned to me I noticed that my PC was indeed fixed, my data on the machine, and it was also booting up a lot more quickly.I would be very happy to recommend iTEXS to anyone who finds themselves in an IT-related ‘spot of bother’. We have worked with iTexs for a few years. We do not use them as regularly as some larger companies, but the service is just as good. Staff are very knowledgeable and are usually available for a site visit within a couple of days of our request. iTEXS has been our IT support since both companies started over 20 years ago. I cannot fault them, with no job too small and no question too silly! For about 12 months my PC was taking approximately 2-2.5 mins to boot up which was a concern and testing my patience. Although I have some IT experience I did not have the confidence to be able to upgrade the standard Hard Drives to Solid State Drives. I tasked ITEXS to undertake the job and within 24hrs the PC was returned with new SSD drives, files copied and moved to the correct areas and more importantly the PC was now booting up within 30 secs. I am extremely impressed with the quick turnaround, regular phone support by the technician and his relevant knowledge.
