Bromley Farm Recycling Centre

Turned up at 9.00am this morning to be told they weren't open till around 11am because they hadn't cleared the snow WTAF it hasn't snowed for 2 days

Great facility and well organised, but unfortunately too many of the staff seem to think it is their job to huddle together and pass judgement over what you are doing and what you are disposing of. I'm just one of the people who tries to dispose of my household rubbish in a responsible way and I try to follow the rules, but in recent weeks I've been told that I was irresponsible because, in their view, my trip to the tip wasn't essential. I've also been accused of hiding things in my rubbish that I shouldn't be taking to their facility. I wasn't, it was their mistake, but they would not accept it. Then they moved on to have a go at another person who pays their wages.

It's gotta be a tough job, not just dealing with everyone's rubbish, working outside all day in the baking heat, lashing rain, or freezing cold, but also dealing with all the grumpy idiots who try and take the lend. These guys always perform their duties respectfully and with a friendly smile, and have always offered to help if your struggling with a load. Never thought I'd be the sort of person to review my local recycling centre, but these guys deserve the shout out. Thought they'd like to know, the work is appreciated! Big up!

Well I can not understand the negative reviews. I went to the tip for the first time today and the staff were wonderful, they couldn't help me enough. As I had never been before I had no idea where to go but they directed me and even helped move my bulkier items that were tricky to lift in the boxes. I asked the staff about the negative reviews and they said that sometimes they can't accept what people bring, fair enough it's on the web site and there are literally 100 signs. They said this unfortunately leads to negative reviews thats why I wanted to write this reviews. What an amazing place and so close to home really fab service.

Just dropped off a load of carpet and underlay. No queue, which is unusual on Sunday. Asked the attendant which skip and it all went in general. We had a bit of banter about how well I was carpeting the skip, all very friendly. Overall a very positive experience.

On the website it says it closes at 4 on a Saturday, but the notice board at the entrance says 1pm on a Saturday. Wasted journey

Recycling and tip for local non-commercial residents only. All electrical, fridges, TVs, batteries, glass, metal, cardboard, plastic and tetra-pak drinks cartons. Also general household rubbish. Very convenient for car users.

Well after queuing for an hour to get they then told me I cud not get ride of some tyres. As there not open to take them .so I should the guy that add been on line and what I was told by staff. And they said that the staff was wrong. So went to melthem and they tuck them no problem. .staff at bromley . Was sat on the phone in a van . An other guy just driving a bout ..no help what's do ever.

3 lazy and rude members of staff stood around chatting amongst themselves. One accused me of not having the vehicle registered, on correcting him there was no apology.

Pretty well organised. The place can get very busy with long queues. The staff are helpful when needed. Shame that they no longer recycle rubble or plasterboard.
