St Lawrence's Church : Whitwell

Nice place to go for worship and friendliness.

The church is lovely inside and out i was a guest at my nieces wedding the vicar was very professional but was also welcoming and friendly made tge bride a groom feel at ease the service was quite old school with hymns i remember from my child hood but overall a lovely service

A Great Historical Church and I believe it to be around a 1000 years old, worth a trip to see, the resting place of Sir Roger Manor.

Lovely welcoming feel enjoyed the famous monkey windows and thought the embroidered stations were very special. Love to see a brown or black Christ imaged in English churches

A beautiful village church steeped in history back to the Norman times. Lovely well kept grounds ideal for weddings, limited parking, but plenty of space for wedding cars etc. Situated in the historic village of Whitwell that has a central Old fashioned square and very near to the ancient site of Creswell crags that has a new visitor centre, popular with local schools. Excellent public transport here. Nearby towns of worksop and Chesterfield. Good road network by car.
