I usually drive to B&Q through the purley way traffic which is dreadful 9/10. I have been there a couple of times recently and the staff haven’t been helpful and don’t seem interested in customer service. If an item you want is there it’s there and if it isn’t you get a shrugged shoulder but they won’t show you where an item is and they don’t like answering questions and the customer service area is manned like it used to be. I wasn’t impressed on my last visit for this reason. A week later I was desperate for tiles so looked up my nearest shops and up popped “Wickes” in the colonnades. It was much easier to get to and they had the mosaic tiles I needed. The guys who work there are so lovely and helpful I couldn’t believe it. They were polite and willing to take you to the product you asked fer. Between three of them they were trying to help everyone in there. They were a breath of fresh air. The guy who was dealing with me and my tiler asked the manager to do something on the til. He came over and was just as nice. No waiting. No stress and great customer service. This will be my “go to” place now!!! Great staff here.

Helpful team and lots of parking. Cheap prices on trade items. Cashier was very helpful and fast putting the order through. Delivery was quick as well within 2 days

Poor knowledge, rude and no intention to serve waiting customers. Urgent training required, a self service checkout would offer a higher level of customer service. Will be taking future business to Screwfix.

Ordered a work surface from this store. Specifically if the item would be delivered direct to the door and if the item could be cut. I was told they don't do cuts and that the item was available to be delivered direct to my door. On the day of delivery the delivery driver said they don't deliver to the door and that they can leave it outside for my 65 year old mum to bring upstairs to the property. This is disgusting customer service. I will most definitely will be getting my money back as item had to be returned to store.

Rude staff towards customer while shopping there. Saw a customer wanted to returned wood self with original polythene wrap , they said need it return with original packaging. Original packaging is actually polythene wrap already there, but they not accepting

All I can do is laugh, what a shambles. Read the reviews before going into the store and lots of negative reviews but I thought I'd give it a chance and make up my own mind. All I wanted was a custom colour matching sample paint. Got there their mixing machine not working. Worker was more interested in another customer who was kicking off in the store over something else. Checked Google for another store drove there to find out they've been closed since January its now 30 Oct 23. I decided to go back to my usual place B&Q, no problems there, totally different class.

Bought fence panels from this store and rang the main customer services to deal with problem. Basically they were worse than useless and unhelpful. Went back the this store and the managers could not be more helpful. They saw immediately that the panels were not fit for purpose and refunded. Thank goodness for sensible people.
