Meadowside Medical Practice

since the merger it has become a shambles, receptionist are always busy/phone lines are always busy(it can take up to 15 mins just to speak to the receptionist so have plenty of credit). if you need an appointment to see the nurse best book it 8/12 weeks in advance as they are so busy that's if you can get into this surgery (usually get sent to another surgery without telling you where you are heading or even if you can get there). I wish they went back to being a single unit as it was massively so much better, have big concerns for how it will be in a couple of years time.

fantastic service, all the medical staff are helpful ,make you relax and best of all listen,Doctors and nurses are so understanding,Never had a surgery like this one at la1 3aq.,the best ever,

Doctor won't see you until you are registered, then when you get registered which takes two weeks you try to get an appointment on the phone and they are constantly engaged....so you end up calling 111 then being sent miles away to a same day clinic only to be sent to hospital a&e where a medical team are waiting to examine a heart condition...thanks Meadowside...no care here...

Potentially a Dangerous lack of Staff - I have wanted to Phone the Surgery for Days yet unless I can wait up to an hour it is nigh on impossible !Tried Ringing at 8am Monday and also 5 Friday but still ridiculously Busy. Would it be too expensive to employ a couple of extra Staff to man the Phones ? as your Practice has a rather large Income - Finally got through on a Friday after 65min wait - Wanted a Telephone Consultation and was offered 2 weeks next Monday !!!! - Surely it should be less busy during COVID when the Doctors only have to Phone most patients ! - Anyway was told to Double my medication - 2 weeks later no follow up nothing - GPs seemingly are no longer dedicated to their Job but to their Wage Packet !

To try and contact someone gets worse by the week , they say they are shortstaffed , if that is the case why don't they employ more people , its simple ring the job centre I am sure there are many people would be happy to work as a receptionist

Happy with the standard of service but the entrance is a bit problematic if you want easy access for wheelchair users

Turned up for my appointment today, the surgery was closed, I was not informed of this!

I had a blood test here last autumn. It was done very carefully and professionally, I felt nothing. The staff here is excellent at what they do! Thank you for taking care of me.

I had a blood test at this surgery today. Having tried to respond to a text message from the practice nurse that did the test - to give her other recent bp readings that I had taken at home - and failed either to send it back via e-mail (invalid address according to my I-pad) or to message the surgery direct with the info, I rang the surgery landline. AND I NOW KNOW WHY the receptionist at the surgery had no phone calls whilst I was in the surgery waiting room … all the phone numbers from all the surgeries within this new LMP group are being re-directed. No wonder there are so many negative reviews - and, sadly, it is not about the quality of the professional health support, it is the admin system currently in place….
