Great agency to work for and very supportive!

The textbook arrogant agency: Gary K. will hang up on you when you're speaking about a position, Adam Y. will conveniently lie to you instead of taking a complaint or apologizing. Avoid at all cost. All power play, disgraceful standards and another poor review to the already appalling list.But after all, who cares: it shows great courage and character to demean applicants while hiding behind a desk.

I'd like to thank Sarah O'Hara for all her help and support in finding me a suitable post. She has been most helpful. Also thanks to Ashleigh for all her help too.

They think they are doing you a favour. They are not good with people. However, if you are desperate for a job, have a go but at your own risk. I don't recommend this agency if you look for a career change" or polite and professional staff."

Won't reply to emails, don't seem that bothered about finding people work

Cannot in good conscience recommend this agency. Have an outstanding complaint from August but the manager does not follow up on a phonecall or reply to emails.

I handed in my notice to start a university course but was kept on by my employers on a part time basis through Pertemps until they found a replacement. Pertemps were APPALLING. They kept asking for timesheets that I'd sent in, were late in paying the first month's salary and I've JUST received October's salary at the end of November... with a week's money missing! They NEVER respond to emails. I wouldn't deal with them again, they are extremely unprofessional.UPDATE: Thank you for the response Pertemps, but your response 'this is not the norm' is the same answer everybody gets!I had an email from Pertemps stating that the contact details for payroll had changed. I sent an email again about why I wasn't paid in October, my holiday pay and the missing week's money. I did receive a reply this time... after a couple of weeks, which states 'this is because you asked to be paid monthly. If you wish to be paid weekly, please contact us'!!!!! How on earth does this answer ANY of my queries or get my money sorted out? It's as if the person hadn't even READ my message. Appalling. They're quick enough to take money from employers, just don't like handing it over to the workers.

I got a really bad experience with them, with two persons that were absolutely terrible that affected me very badly. First time in an agency and was simply appalling and shocking to deal with those truly unprofessional that gave me an extremely poor service. If I could leave 0 stars I would happily do. The only positive thing here is that I learnt my lesson to not trust this kind of people again.Better go with real professionals where you will be respected from the very beginning because Petemps Edinburgh, truly lacks of that.
