The Gather’n Café
Amazing little place, quirky collection of crafts which Don,t interest me but the food is excellent. Staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive and doing a great job in such a small space.I had the grilled chicken and crispy bacon salad which was the most interesting salad ive had in a long time, a good mix of different leaves, tomatoes and sweet cherry peppers (who knew) with a sprinkling of marigold and microgreens.....delicious with the chicken and bacon. Finished with coffee and cake from a huge selection which were gorgeous.Definitely a place to return to.

Weird place. Tomb-like quiet, a horde of flies at the register as you walk in and an uninterested staff member who shouldn't be touching food after scratching his beard. The sweet potato chili soup was good but scorching hot and no butter brought for the bread, plus I got the wrong beverage. My wife's Panini was good but the style of coleslaw didn't suit her.

Looked online for a breakfast place near our campsite and this looked most promising - reasonable prices, and pancakes for our veggie daughter. When we arrived all was still looking good - the cafe also has a woolshop vibe and nice shabby chic interior. We asked about pancakes - oh dear, they don't do those anymore said the slightly bored waitress.Nevermind, daughter ordered a mango smoothy and toast instead. Then looking at the menu we noticed that the prices were quite a bit more than the ones we'd seen online. eg 12.95 for a full English rather than 9.95.Nevermind again - we're on holiday!Wife orders a cup of tea. It's £1 extra for Earl Grey (??? Why ???)It's also £1 extra for oat milk (???!!!!!!!!!!! Why?????)So a cup of tea turns out to be over £4Breakfast arrives and looks distinctly average. Sausage isn't a nice butchers sausage but a smooth pink meat" sausage the like of which I haven't seen since I camped with my parents in the 1970s.I will also eat my hat if my mushrooms weren't left over from yesterday. They could only be described as "wizened".I also ask the waiter who brings the food "is that my toast?"He looks confused. Apparently toast with the full English is an "extra"This is a first for me but I ask for some "extra" toast.Meanwhile my wife has eggs on toast with roast cherry tomatoes - she gets 4 cherry tomatoes. My daughter's smoothie was undrinkable - I tried it - it seemed to be made of oats and ice. Perhaps it had been held near a mango. It was also served in a plastic takeaway cup - but we were eating in!?!!? Again

I recently stopped in Aberlour in the hope of finding a wee cafe. I had stopped for a wee break and a walk beside the River Spey. I was very pleased to find this place. I was warmly welcomed I had coffee and a piece of Lemon drizzle cake. The cafe is nice and compact and seems to double as a place that sells knitting wool. There are also a number of little souvenirs you can buy. I was well pleased with my choice and next time I will call earlier and try the food.

Gorgeous food with excellent taste. The portions for price are much better here compared to other places traveled. Lovely staff, great ambience with a beautiful view of the Scottish Highlands.

Did not expect to find an all vegetarian (all day!) Scottish breakfast (including veg haggis) and such a delicious one as well. The Veggie Burger was also really good :)

Stopped in for a late lunch while touring Speyside. Cullen Skink and a Choose your own" Gluten free toastie with salad was excellent. Table service was top notch and very relaxing atmosphere. Will be back in the area in 3 weeks so will make a point of returning here for lunch!"

Small cosy shop with lovely furnishings. The food was very good and really plentiful. The milkshakes could all be ordered with coconut or oat milk if desired. The mac and cheese and the veggie burger were really great. The staff was very friendly and open-minded. We would love to come again.

Absolutely delicious food, a lovely atmosphere, a very friendly staff and a dog friendly place. Our food arrived very quickly and was delicious. If you want to have a nice warm coffee or hot chocolate, you must visit them.
