Barsana Pure Vegetarian and vegan Indian Restaurant
It was a first dine-in experience @ Barsana Pure Vegetarian restaurant and didn't look like the food at all.Earlier I ordered online and today thought of exploring dine in. We ordered starters like Veg & Paneer Noodles, Veg Biryani and didn't like the taste of any of them.If you are looking for authentic Indian food taste then this is not your place.Parking: High Street is a busy area and you can find the cheapest parking at the back side of the restaurant/Iceland costing 60p / Hr.

Such a large option of choices of food to select from, especially for a vegan, which is hard to come across. Have been here a few times now somehow every time has been better than the last. Favourite place for vegan food and for a curry in Birmingham

We have just had a family meal at Barsana, we always struggle to find nice places to eat having both vegan and gluten free people in our family. Barsana catered to all of our dietary needs and the menu clearly stated which items were gf, vegan and vegetarian making ordering very easy. The food came in generous portions and was really tasty. There was such a wide choice that we will definitely be back to try some more of the dishes. Our teenage children loved choosing from the options and most were not too spicy which suited them. The staff were helpful and friendly and the restaurant was small and cosy. Definitely worth the trip across town for us, we are already planning the next visit.

Don't be fooled by the budget restaurant signage out front, this Indian restaurant has a far more premium feel inside - this place makes for a good location for a celebration or to bring a date.Book in advance at the usual busy times - we didn't have to on a Friday lunchtime when it was virtually empty. This meant fast service and timely delivery of food. There were a lot of vegan dishes on the menu - the majority in fact. Usually Indian restaurants do well to cater for vegan requirements but here, the majority of items on the menu thankfully are vegan by default. Of particular note are the multiple (multiple!) vegan naans: with butter, garlic and chilli flavours to choose from. Such rare joy as other Indian restaurants make you believe dairy is necessary for a good naan which is patently not the case. The chefs here demonstrate such skill with their craft. We had tarka daal, chana masala and a potato dish along with various naans - all well worth ordering. Their drink selection is nice too - managed to get a strawberry mojito (pictured) which was excellent to complement the (relatively mild) heat of the food.Overall, a great service to Birmingham's vegan scene and comes highly recommended.

Really lovely restaurant. We had great Thali. The food was delicious and the staff fantastic. Lovely to see such a range of veggie and vegan food. Other children's options available though our pair didn't particularly like the veggie fingers. But otherwise absolutely brill, will be going back!

A nice and quiet spot for some Indo-Chinese or Indian food, think this may of just become our fave Veggie/vegan spot. Really pleasant personal service and stunning food, 100% will be returning.

You don't have to be VEGAN to enjoy the BEST food. I'm a meat eater but the starters and main course curry were out of this world, the nicest Indian food I have ever tasted. The Merlot red wine in a beautiful glass finished the meal to perfection. Friendly personal service, an immaculate restaurant, and the best food. I'll be back for sure.

If you are a vegetarian who struggles to find good food and variety when eating out, Barsana is the place you must head to. Conveniently placed on harborne high street with parking right behind (@60pph), it's ideal for a lazy weekend lunch or a busy workday dinner. The menu is a good mix of the familiar and the specials.Absolutely loved the sevpuri and a super big fluffy cheese nan.Quick and friendly service.
