It was good 2 b back after all this time. Pint was good but a bit pricey for the location. Not much of a difference in the decor before it shut. Hopefully in the near future it will get a makeover.

Was there after a funeral at Morton hall.the lounge was good for around 25 /30 people nice buffet and tea, coffee . The alcoholic drinks were reasonably priced then in the main pub there was pool tables and music and it was quite friendly it was a Tuesday afternoon so i don't know what it's like at night or weekend's it's a locals pub.

Just had my dad's wake at The Waverly Inn and I just want to say a big thank you for helping at short notice. They managed to put on tea/coffee and some light snacks for people,all the staff were polite and friendly. Thank you again.

You would have thought I was getting the biggest round ever.wanted a pint of larger and a whisky. Did I want ice or water in the whisky, no was the reply,no problem there.she asked me if it was a larger top.she poured it so she should have known what I ordered. Got a 2nd pint that was poured in the lounge. Obviously been lying in the pipes overnight. U r meant 2 pour at least 2 pints through every tap before u open.a good pub would. No wonder the pub is dead.

i find the review made 5 months ago very odd. this person stated he'd been unfotunate enough to be in during a sunday afternoon karaoke.............there have been no karaokes on a sunday or any other day for over 3 years!!! the lounge where entertainment was held OVER 3 YEARS AGO is now a place where older couples enjoy a quiet drink every day of the week.unfortunately this area of edinburgh(like many others) has more than its share of drug users and dealers, however, like every other member of the gracemount pubwatch scheme, the waverley has asked for and received the wholehearted support of the local police, the licensing police and the assigned LSO's for this area in tackling this problem and will continue to do so.the majority of customers who drink in this pub on a regular basis are salt of the earth types who, like the members of staff,would not hesitate to offer help to anyone who needs it.they raise a LOT of money for local charities,including the marie curie, edinburgh,raise funds for youngsters football strips etc, willingly contribute to st catherines fund raising, local pensioners are well cared for etc etc.....write a review by all means, but perhaps it would hold more water if it was up to date and relevant.

New local owners with amazing staff. Friendly right from the start and so are the locals. All football matches covered on TV and bingo on Tuesdays for everyone,any age. Brilliant times at the bingo too. This is the newly decorated lounge.
