We paid £69 inclusive of the wine, starters simple were fine. However, my main course was absolutely dreadful, I had the sea bass on a casserole. It was embarrassing the sea bass was so small would cost 99p in the supermarket, as for the casserole, it appears they opened a can of tomatoes added two slices of courgettes, and 5 hard boiled potatoes, totally tasteless and if that’ is a main course cost £15.99 a total rip off. Will never return, worse meal ever.

I have been visiting Nonnas for 10+ years. Back in the day it was a bustling place with lovely staff, excellent food, and great coffee. But in the past few years it has been going downhill and my experience at Nonnas today cemented that sentiment. I walked in and sat at a table that needed cleaning (I sat there because it was the only one in the sun). I was not greeted upon entry and in fact heard the server go tell colleagues in the back 'shes sat at that table'. Two staff came out to clean the table and did not acknowledge me at all - no smile, no hello, no eye contact. A cold and offensive welcome to Nonnas. Once they took the plates away one of the same servers came back to clean the table and again - no hello, no greeting, no contact. No conversation about what I wanted to order but rather she was grimacing with a cold expression. I have never experienced such rude behaviour by servers in my life. This place is too mediocre for the service to be so obtuse and insultingly rude. I left and took my business elsewhere - where I was indeed greeted with a friendly hello and warm smile upon entering that specific premise. I do not recommend Nonnas and advise others to frequent some of the much friendlier and nicer places in the area.

Me and my husband love this place, we've visited quite a few times. The lady who served us called Bailey was so lovely, she really couldn't do enough for us and was so chatty and made us feel really welcome and relaxed. The food was great as usual.

Disgraceful business. Locked their doors and turned away flood victims who desperately tried to find a warm and dry place to shelter during Storm Babet. Made excuses after the event that they were sending staff home, but they took a delivery during this time and staff were taking photos and videos of the people who were chest deep in flood water, freezing and at serious risk of hypothermia. When challenged on social media, comments were deleted and the people who shared what sort of business this is were blocked. Not the kind of business we need in our community, thanks. Have eaten there previously and the food is very average anyway.

Absolutely amazing 5* quality food & 5* service from the staff, who go out of their way to make sure all your needs are catered for. So friendly and courteous. Luxury dining at its finest in a relaxed atmosphere. Would highly recommend

Lovely classy decor and appreciate establishments like this as part of the gentrification of Chesterfield. Service was excellent, attentive and made our birthday party feel welcomed. Food - can't say for the other dishes but the my squid ink spaghetti, although tasty, for the price really should have added proper prawns and not just shrimp, tad stingy on the panchetta and could be a little more generous on the portion size.

Booked for six people for the 3 course Christmas menu. All of us said it was one of the best Christmas meals we’d ever had (and we’ve been meeting up every year for decades). Very polite and friendly staff. Had also been for Sunday lunch previously which was also of excellent quality and value. Have no hesitation in recommending this place and will be back again soon myself. Forgot to take pics of starter and dessert as I had eaten them before remembering!

Been a couple times to Nonnas now and it’s been lovely each time, went for lunch the first time and dinner the second time. The second time I was heavily pregnant and the staff were lovely and pointed out I could use the downstairs toilet if I wanted instead of struggling with the stairs.

Food was pretty good, although menu has slimmed down from what it once was. On the whole staff were friendly but no food check on any course which I personally don't like, and see as bad training considering the food is not that cheap. Would I come back here again... maybe but would not rush back

Visited here recently with 2 friends, actually my first time at this branch of Nonnas. A well known and established restaurant business in Sheffield and Chesterfield. Italian cuisine with a modern twist. My Friend and I tried the Salmon with vegetables whilst our other Friend had the Spaghetti with spices added especially by the chef. Accompanied by extra vegetables included a sauteed Asparagus which was amazing. Definitely high standard cuisine but with normal and not over the top prices. Well worth the visit and will definitely visit again.
