So disappointed with this vets .was told my dog was a drama queen 3 weeks later after pain killers ,she passed away with cancer . .but also they were to send out pain killers we never received them due to me being out of the country and them not getting payment even tho they said they was going to put it on my tab

Purple Vets are brilliant Jude and his staff have always looked after my dog Pip and I have no worries about them

I am messaging your practice today with sheer disappointment In the way your leading vet has spoken to me this morning, within the last hour.I rang your practice yesterday with great stress and concern over MY dog coco who was experiencing upset stomach and loose stools. I pointed our co co could be pregnant too.Your advice was to bring her down today Thursday 18 November.Prior to this I have a gold plan pet insurance with a live vetinary app. I requested a vet to call her back ASAP yesterday morning of 17 Nov. I expressed her concerns to the live chat vet and Pointed out co co could be pregnant. The vet advised both the sickness and pregnancy were not linked and that co co had probably eaten something that hasn’t agreed with her system. The vet advised I to try ring her main vets if the sickness and loose stools did not clear up throughout the day. I was very concerned for co co and took the day off work to care for her and make sure she was drinking plenty of water.I brought her to your practice today. Your vet was very very rude and outspoken. He told me that co co was extremely under weight and that he hoped to god she wasn’t pregnant as she was too young.I was made to feel that she has neglected co co and dosent care for the dogs well being.I researched breeding co co for many months. As I would like to have more dogs at home. And co co has such a beautiful nature. I contacted the breeder who she bought co co from and the breeder said to go ahead with breeding. I then paid to go private to have the necessary breeding process to take place. At any one time nobody said co co was not old enough to have her own puppies.Prior to your rude vets comments to my daughter in law. I brought co co to your practice only a matter of weeks ago for her yearly booster and check up.Your practice advised she was in perfect healthy condition and weight good.Your receptionist mentioned to me that co co was a lovely age to be a mum n have pups.Yet today you are contradicting what you have said. Clearly your receptionist dosent communicate with the vet. And clearly you don’t know what your doing or saying when one minute the dog is on tip top condition then next , days later she’s malnourished , not fit to have puppies and too young to breed.Prior to this i also visited your practice some months ago with concerns over co cos leg that she was yelping with. Your leading vet there said. Nothing wrong with co co and you’ve wasted my time.How rude !!!Well to sum this up.The vet that dealt with me today ,You have lost a customer there that was trusting and using your practice.When clearly you didn’t need to go to veterinary school to practice. You needed to go to school again to learn the basics of good manners , respect to others and learn to not be so uncaring and outspoken and inconsiderate when you speak to dog owners , dog lovers and people that genuinely care about their dogs.People who take the time to insure their pets , have treatment plans and regular dog grooming and daily walks and excercise and good quality dog foods. Are not usually the kind of people that don’t care about their dogs and it’s well being.This is clearly not a rspca , abounded , neglected dog or situation as your are initiating.We now know not to use your practice or anyone that asks for veterinary practices.Take the time to read this and have consideration in your day to day practice.Most of all learn from your mistakes.

Lovely staff. They really seem to love and care about my cats which I find very reassuring.

Although we only registered our beloved ageing dog with them for a few months we were treated exceptionally well. The staff were very helpful and friendly and when the inevitable happened they were very compassionate. A small practice but excellent. Can highly recommend it.

Jude and staff were excellent, helped to put new puppy parents at ease. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Will not use this vet again. Refused to see my cat unless I paid upfront after he has had quite a serious fall. I have been with this vet for 7 years and never once have I been asked to pay upfront. I told them I don’t get paid until Friday and all I got was oh well phone back then. Just money grabbing. I will be changing vets and I’d advise no one to go here if your animal needs to be seen urgently

Took our new cat (rescue cat) to the Purple Vets at Rothwell for a health check and vaccination. Very friendly staff and put us at ease as there were a couple of concerns but these were advised on professionally and we came away feeling a lot better. Cat had been vaccinated and she seemed to enjoy the visit as much as a Cat can. 5*
