Food and gardens are excellent. One member of staff was quite rude when she thought I'd taken a photograph in the house (which I hadn't). She could have handled the situation far better. She did, however, apologise later.

A lovely house and gardens. Topiary is best I've seen. Good cafe. Garden entry £10.50. Access to shop and toilets free.

Visited the Hall whilst on the way to Cartmel races and had a wonderful lunch in their public restaurant. The gardens were magnificent and date back nearly 300years with extraordinary topiary gardens renowned during the Victorian era. Well worth a visit, especially when the weather is +22° as it was last week. Didn't go into the actual hall bid the place is so wonderful I don't think it was necessary.

Lovely lovely garden!! One has to take a stroll in the topiary garden to appreciate the immaculate finish and beautify setup which has largely remained unchanged for over a century. Presentation is innovative and unique (oldest topiary garden in the world) and one can appreciate the efforts.Newly opened cafe is nice and staff is very helpful.

We only went round the gardens, not the house and though they were lovely, think the £10.00 entrance fee is a little high. The cafe is okay, coffee quite nice. The cake and scone were nice - not sure where 'the passion for cake' mentioned on the leaflet comes in. Pleasant enough.

A trip out for myself and mum, both enjoy our gardens, and this was a real treat. An element of surprise around every corner literally. It was glorious. Would encourage anyone to have a proper exploration of the gardens. Good for young children, we found the play area and a fab place for hide and seek..I left the teenager at home..managed to enjoy a breakfast as well, my favourite meal! Super day out.

I've wanted to come here for awhile, it was definitely worth the wait, absolutely stunning gardens, everything is kept to a high standard, they have a café and a lovely gift shop selling high quality products, you can also buy plant's.Car park is on the grounds and free of charge, it cost's £10.50 per adult but they have family and session tickets too.Noticed while I was there that the gravel is hard work for wheelchair users.Definitely need to visit here its worth it, forgot to mention they have toilets which are kept very clean.

A brilliant day out! Whether you’re solo, with a partner, or with your family Levens Hall is a spectacular day out. The gardens are stunningly beautiful and you can wander for hours. There cafe serves delicious salads using the produce grown in the vegetable garden. The on-site gardeners and volunteers are friendly and knowledgable and will share all sorts of interesting facts. Free if you’re a national trust member but reasonably and affordably priced if you are not.

Great few hours at Levens Hall after driving past for years. Note entry discount if you hold a Cumbria Card. Hall was a great experience of an ancient house with a thousand years of history. Interesting write up on the little guidebook about how the estate passed between people as often there were no wills. Then the whole estate was lost over a game of cards, the drawing room has a nice little display with the offending card hand. Lunch was really tasty and will absolutely return and maybe buy a annual ticket to watch the seasons in the garden. Great service from all staff a delight to be there.
