We contacted Frederick back in April 2020 having taken the very careful decision over many months to get a puppy and researching breeders. Our first contact was very positive - in fact we were almost made to feel like we were being interviewed to determine if we were 'worthy' of one of his puppies. At this point we were in lockdown so couldn't arrange a visit but only live locally so paid the deposit to go on the waiting list and Frederick sent us some photos which all seemed genuine. We didn't hear from him again unless we contacted him and each time we did, we got a different story - sometimes it was you'll get a late summer pup"

we spent a lot of time researching good breeders at the start of last year and went with Fredrick as he seemed passionate about labradors, we paid our £100 deposit and made the long trip to Broadstairs to meet him in August 2020. when we asked when we would be able to have ours we were first told our pup wil be from the next litter due soon. we had no contact month by month and only recieved minimal information when we contacted him. After we grew concerned by februrary 2021 and informed him, we were told we have already been proritised up the list (seems everyone has). After finally deciding we were unlikely to ever recieve a puppy we decided to go with another more reputable KC registered breeder which was a short easy process we wish we had have done from the start. we were refusesed our £100 deposit back and seems to be a long running profitable scam.

Excellent Home kenneling service provided for our Chow Chow , Frederick is friendly knowledgeable and shows great care for our dog. Wouldn't look or use anywhere else

Unfortunately, we are in the same category as a lot of other customers - we gave Frederick a (non-refundable) deposit and he promised us a puppy. He never got back in touch, when we prompted him, we were told we were on the prioritised waiting list... that was ten months ago. We were fortunate enough to get a puppy from a reputable breeder. Don't deal with this man.

I can’t believe nearly 2 years on and he is still ripping people off for £100 deposits. I did inform his local council licensing department to complain. Feel free to do the same. I never got my deposit back. Absolutely horrible person, doesn’t care about the effect it has on families .I would DEF NOT recommend using Aidens Labradors . Unfortunately when we started out the process of getting a puppy Frederick came across as trustworthy , caring and very passionate about the breed so no alarm bells rang at that point. We paid a deposit of £100 which apparently is non refundable as we visited his premises so he could make sure we were suitable ( what a con) even though no puppy materialised therefore not fulfilling the contract. A year later and the latest info is that due to cold weather the girls are delayed in coming into season so still no puppy. We made the decision to call and say we were not prepared to wait any longer and Frederick was not bothered as long as he has our money I guess. During the year of waiting we had to make contact with him, he never updated us with any info, his messages in return were abrupt , rude and just excuses and to perfectly honest he just fobbed us off. After reading a review posted a week ago to ‘ look him up’ I am truly gutted that I trusted this person.. I will be making a complaint to the kennel club and a small claims court .The good news is that we got a puppy from elsewhere and whilst explaining our misfortune the new breeder told me it was not the first time they had heard this about Aidens Labradors. My strong advice is to steer well clear , you get what you pay for ( his dogs may be lovely but unfortunately ‘Fredericks’ ethics really let them down). He should practice what he preaches. In hindsight I would never pay a deposit until I see a puppy. I do wonder how many ‘ deposits’ Frederick has kept and fulfilled his end of the bargain ?????

Like many others on here, we were strung along by Frederick Romang from January 2020 until May 2021 with the promise of a puppy. I met Arwen in January 2020, Frederick said I could have one of her puppies in October of that year. October came along with Arwens litter, only to be told they were allocated a year ago and that I would get one of Peppers pups in March 2021. I was heartbroken after building my hopes up.Frederick was always abrupt and quite offensive in his manor at all times, unlike the charm he displayed at the first meeting in January 2020.We rang him and messaged him numerous times,I spoke to his wife Joy who told me Pepper was not their dog. After 16 months of us contacting The Romangs, no puppy, being spoken to in an unpleasant manner. We asked for our deposit back. Frederick tried to say we had no contract just a pre contract.Luckily, we knew the law. We had kept all emails, messages etc. He did return our deposit in May 2021.He was childish in his reply, Peppers pup has been reallocated. How can you reallocate a pup when the dog is not yours?.Our wasted time with Frederick Paul Romang taught me to research the person first. If I had, I would never have given him the time of day.I did contact Thanet council to ask how they can license a man that was taking people’s money under false pretences. They said to write to them.Frederick Romang runs a business, it appears trustworthy with a license from the council, contracts as a dog food supplier, therefore giving the illusion that he is a legitimate business. It’s easy to assume he is trustworthy. It’s only when you read the reviews and see how much he has raked in under the guise of non refundable deposits that the alarms bells ring LOUDLY!I have a beautiful puppy that I bought from a reputable breeder. KC registered. Met the mother, grandmother and had the nicest possible experience.I got the dog that was meant for me.Wish that for all prospective dog owners.Steer clear of Mr Romang.

Don’t do it. Do not part with any money . He still owes me £100 and never had any intentions of providing me with a puppy. Waited over a year. He lies and lies. Is rude and aggressive. All I think of is how many £100 deposits he took in good faith from people. Very sad , A total con…. Stay well clear of this man save yourself the heartache and save your money. Find a reputable breeder the reviews say it all here

Do NOT part with any money to Frederick Romang at Aidens Labradors he is very dishonest. Search his name online and you will find out why! After parting with a deposit, which I am now told you should never do until the four week visit of a potential puppy, Mr Romang became very rude and abusive towards us. After waiting 13 months and many broken promises and lies from this person, along with more requests for more money, we have decided to walk away and lost our deposit. If we could of given minus stars we would. Heed this warning and give Aidens Labradors a wide berth. A quick update on Aidens Labradors and Frederick Romang after having spoke to the kennel club he is NOT registered and neither are his dogs and the positive reviews on here are related to them. Please do NOT part with money in advance
