Gowerton Coarse Fishery

Lovely wellcome, and great place to have a peaceful days carp fishing.

Fished here from mid 2018 regularly and is a pleasant not over busy lake for carp fishing and is facility on site for hot drinks and food. The carp fishing is good and last visit had a 17lb and 18lb common carp would recommend

Hi, just wanted to let you know that my husband who complained about the algae and weeds and the restocking of your pond was not the gentleman you are referring to, who didn't pay for his day ticket. He was actually situated next to us before we arrived. We (my husband, my dad and myself) arrived around 9.30, we were actually talking to you at the lakeside. I know you have said you removed 14 tons of weed, but my father didn't even have a bite over 5 hours and my husband caught a few tiny fish on a small hook set up. We don't want to give anyone a bad review, but the traces were constantly getting caught up in the weeds. We also spoke to every other fisherman there who said exactly the same. Out of the 5 hours they had about 15 mins of fishing. We don't want to scrutinise anyone but as a business you are up for scrutiny and we just wanted to tell the truth. Other than the fishing it was nice day out, lovely peaceful place and yourself and your staff were very welcoming and helpful. I would appreciate if you could remove the comment about me not paying, as my name is attached to that. Many thanks

A lovely coarse fishery in Gowerton near Swansea. Lots of improvements made in 2021 including several new pegs thanks to NRW and some of the boys have worked very hard. Species include Carp to 20lb+ also species of several coarse fish.

Lovely little fishery. Shame the lockdown rules to the for range were applied to the lake

Spent most of the day at the lake and caught nothing but a few sardine size roach. Lost about a dozen traces, it needs de-weeding for a start and restocking. Other fishermen there said exactly the same

This fishery is no good if you are a Disabled angler. you car'nt get your car to the lake side now to unload.So if you are not able to cary your gear the 100 or so yards from the car park to the lake like me then don't bother going

Love it there, not over busy and you can get on with your fishing in relative peace. Heavy rain recently has not helped as some flooding at the bottom end of lake. Some nice big Carp in there, can be hard to catch sometimes. Nice cafe and reasonable coffee were you pay to gain entry, golf pitch facility next door as part of same Complex. Reasonable at 7 pounds for full days fishing.
