Home | Longthwaite House | At Longthwaite House we specilaise in animal care, applying the science of animal behviour and welfare to our boarding cattery, livery yard and animal behaviour modification consultancy. Applying ecological understanding, we manage and conserve our land for for wildlife, rare breed sheep and heritage apple orchards.

Excellent as ever. Jess, our cat, again enjoyed her stay with Emma and Barbara. I'm sure she didn't want to come home. Will always bring her here as it's peaceful and pleasant.Thank you again.

A very pleasant and friendly environment. Good size pens, two levels for exploring. Our cat is completely blind and when she leaves is completely stress free. I think she gets spoiled a little, which is nice. Would highly recommend.

The best cattery I've ever used. Our cats tell us how much they've enjoyed their stay each time they go. Lovely rural location, where only cats stay, and an owner who genuinely loves cats. No dogs to worry them. Highly recommended.

Teddy and Oscar are lucky to have such a warm, caring place to stay while we are away. Emma always ensures our boys are happy and well cared for. She gives them both lots of attention and cuddles - which is really appreciated

Highly recommended. Me and the moggies have had bad experiences at other catteries so to find somewhere as trustworthy as Emma's means we can go away without having to worry. Cats are well cared for and are content when I pick them up.

Lovely place for your cat , felix was well looked after, he had loads of room and freedom inside and out , very clean and friendly looks after them great .

After several times going here and was very happy, our last visit was not to the standards we had experienced in the past, the cattery was dirty, not even cleaned pens from previous cats leaving my cat to wait on the side in a cage for up to an hour, and to many excuses as to why it was in the state it was, also other cats were crying with no water or food and this was 9.30am unexceptable.

Dilly loves to go and stay with her Auntie Emma at Longthwaite House! All the accommodations are large enough and warm during the cold days and during the night year-round. I've arrived early, without Emma knowing I was there and she was Chatting away to Dilly and her next door neighbour Molly as she did her morning chores, so I know she's well looked after. Her coat is as glossy as ever too, so she's being groomed. The location is paradise, surrounded by orchards and rare breed sheep and poultry. I recommend it to anyone who loves their cat.

Always look forward to our holidays as i know our cat Jess is going to have a superb time here. Emma looks after her brilliantly and i'm sure she doesn't want to come home. Nice and quiet surroundings. Five star.
