A lovely, tranquil place for just a walk in the wild, or super birdwatching. Well worth a visit.

Went to visit Meeth Quarry last Saturday with my all-time wheelchair user son. First obstacle was the toilet. It was open, but the gates were locked so it wasn't possible to get there with wheelchair. So if you're a wheelchair user and you actually want to use the toilet this place is not for you.Easy access trail - well we've been here twice so far. First with a manual wheelchair - that's definitely a no go. I am pretty fitbut this trail was a struggle.. Second time we came to use my son's adapted trike. It was easier but on the way back the track is fairly steep and you havento struggle with the gates as well.

Visited on recommendations here. Arrived mid morning all locked up, vans and cars desperately tring to park in small entrance, cyclists sliding their bike under the gate and no signs to explain why closed at 10:39 in morning. Nearby residents were really cross as visitors to nature reserve were trying to park in residents parking spaces. Absolute chaos. Complete waste of a 2 hour drive to get there. Followed road to Bideford and did find another place to access Tarka trail near Torrington, Puffing Billy.Possibly a one off, but not according to the residents who were well cheesed off saying its a regular occurrence. Not sure who owns site, but temporary notices and suggestions where else to park are little effort. You might even win a few friends amongst your neighbours as well.

Enjoyed a peaceful stroll around this scenic, quiet Devon Wildlife Trust reserve. Lots of lakes and ponds to sit by and enjoy the views and wildlife. The walks are reasonably flat and they don't take long. Ideal place to stop and have a picnic.

Not really a nature reserve, you can't access the lake, it's just some paths. Dont waste your time.

A lovely place to visit with children and dogs. There is an area where digs are not allowed to go because of breeding, but still plenty to walk. There are viewing areas to see wildlife. A huge lake where you can sit and watch. A magnificent place for school trips and a picnic. “Free” entry but there is a donation box at the car park.
