Wasps Perth Creative Exchange

1st visit for craft Xmas market. Lively place - would like to go back and see rest of gallery space. Lovely cake too.

Went to the craft fare here in December. What a find! The stalls were great, everyone was so friendly. Wandering around the workshops was a real privilege as the talent there was amazing. So glad we came across it. I came home with a few great pieces.

Good for artists, not so much for me and office space due to lack of office workers here and flexibility to make the work space more accommodating due to bureaucracy. The office rooms are empty so it would be clever to change those into hot desks or creative spaces too, however due to the rigid organisational structure the whole ground floor remains a ghost town with no cafe or anything. Only the first floor has a nice hub of creatives with more creative workspace options, which unfortunately, those in the floor below do not benefit from, except from, cold, large, dark and wastefully un-used rooms.

Always great to go back and see what local artists are creating! You always have room for nice chats and acquire anything if you want to!

Wonderful place to be based as an artist. A hub with makers from multiple disciplines and creative industries, the Famous Grouse innovation centre and hot desking facilities. Beautiful gallery and large teaching space. Perth has waited a long time for the Creative Exchange to become a reality.

Had a brilliant conversation with a wonderful pair of gentlemen about the equipment they have in their creative makerspace. (If you're reading this, i'm the guy who asked around all of Perth of some resistors!)Anyone interested in learning about the use of technology and community to assist in creative projects should pop in and have a chat and see what's on offer.Didn't have time on the day to get hands-on as i was only passing through, but i wish i was in town longer to be able to meet the wider community here.

Having a wealth of creative people and disciplines all under one roof here in Perth is great for the artists in terms of engaging with different ideas, but also the community as a potential cultural hub. It's about time we had something like this in our wee city. It's a great place to have a studio and offer classes.Accessibility:-The building is accessible with or pushing a wheelchair, though you will need someone to hold a couple of the heavier doors open and security within the building means some of those doors will be blocked due to fob access; having someone with you to help access certain areas will be necessary.The disabled toilet on the ground floor is fine and big, so you will be able to turn a chair around in there (I don't know about the other floors). The doorway in the hall towards the toilet might be a little tight to navigate with a manual chair, so assistance may be needed there, but I have managed it with those I have helped in the past.

It's always good to see art in Insitu. Artists at work and a friendly chat. Worth a visit if you're passing. Cafe.

Amazing Art Spaces, a lot of a great artwork and artists, painters, jewellery makers. Really worth to visit when open for public next time.

Beautiful studio and offices spaces, wifi and heating included. Very secure and ideally located with easy access for all users. Lift for easy access for all to all floors. Meeting rooms, ideas room and social spaces. Cafe to be integrated also.Highly recommend.
