Lakeland Adventures (Boat Charter)

Such a great experience being out on the lake, Julie and Les went above and beyond to make our experience memorable and were fantastic hosts. Thank you for for making our trip to Boweness that much more special! I would 100% recommend and will certainly be using again.

The boat trips are lovely. We used them multiple times travelling all around the lake. The captain did a nice little commentry of what you can see from the boat, which was great!

Lovely time spent on Lake Windermere. Hosts were lovely and the sandwiches a real treat.

When its busy.. its busy as hell.. obviously due to our current staycation situation. unfortunately self ride boats were all unavailable.. but we managed to get a lake tour cruise which was nice.. albeit a little cold. Nice picnic area and lovely village to explore around the lake itself. Would highly recommend. The toilets (for men and their inherent inability to aim) were disgusting even though they charged 50p entry card only.. no cash. There is loads of parking on the nation heritage field.. free if you are pass holders.. otherwise £7.50 for the day at time of writing. Duck food is 3 bags for £1 consider buying at least £3 worth food... they love it and its great fun feeding them.Love to come again.. maybe stay.

We booked the Lakeland Adventure for our trip to Bowness. First off it’s a beautiful vessel, immaculate. Les and Julie were superb hosts, knowledgeable about sailing, the history of the lake and the buildings along the shoreline and some good conversation. We anchored in a quiet bay to eat the quality lunch provided before setting off back for Bowness. Would we do it again, 100% yes. Next time we’re in the lakes we will be back out on the Elana with Les and Julie.Thanks for a great afternoon, Lorrae, Dave, Livi and Georgia.

Thanks so much for our wonderful sailing experience, booked as a post wedding family treat after our elopement the day before. It was such good fun and our hosts made us all feel very welcome and relaxed. The cold wind wasn't a problem with blankets and hot drinks to keep us toasty. A very thoughtful touch was being handed a framed photo of our newest family memory which we will treasure. Thank you xx
