The Cheese Wedge

We were visiting Chester from Leeds. What a fabulous shop with such a great selection of wonderful cheese and a lovely owner. Wish it was nearer!

The little man serving was unbelievable after me and my partner trying a few cheeses to see what we would like he knocked on the window with his camera I thought he was joking but when I'd been served by his nice colleague I heard him chatting about me in a bad way noloads of cheese it was very small tasting crumbs great staff except for little man

Purchased a Christmas Cheese box for a friend for Christmas, but unfortunately the box was damaged, although contents were still in perfect order.I emailed the company explaining the situation and within 48hrs I received a tracked box and within that box was a perfect cheese wedge box all ready for the perfect Christmas gift.Quality product along with quality staff and a very reasonable price. Excellent 5*

All the way from the USA. My family and I visited in May when we were on holiday for my graduation trip. What a wonderful shop and owner of the shop. We are City fans (before the success, Dad picked City because everyone here knew of United & he said we couldn’t cheer for United) and the owner kept giving us samples. The cheese was wonderful too, and we will be back the next time we are back in England.

Supermarket level selection, mainly standard cheddar with flavours added. One blue cheese in the whole shop. Staff seemed more interested in tidying around and asking you to move. Went to the cheese shop round the corner, brilliant experience.

What a lovely gem of a spot. Stumbled upon it while exploring around in Chester. Had a blast trying all the different cheeses they had on offer and chatting with the store owner Kevin, who is absolutely delightful. Bought a cheese that I ended up sharing with friends the same day - we all loved it so much and immediately finished it that we went back the next morning and bought much more! Amazing cheeses and great prices too - fantastic value. We also needed some extra help from Kevin to post our order to us in London which he was super helpful with. All in all highly recommend The Cheese Wedge. I'll be ordering lots more cheese from here, even from London!

Love this shop. Staff are so friendly the owner is always welcoming. Huge variety of cheese. Which the staff are extremely knowledgable about. They are happy to cut you a piece to try. So that you get the one you like. Best and largest eggs in Chester in my opinion. Also, they are locally sourced, which is even better.He was one of the first shops to create a delivery service in the pandemic, offering to deliver other shops products when he was based in the market. Forever grateful for that. There's a reason he's run a successful stall then shop for the last 40 odd years. He knows his customers. It's not just my favourite shop but also my dogs as he's always given a sample when we go. Delighted to see that he's doing so well after leaving the market. Best move he could have made.

So thrilled to find this shop after the old market closed. Tucked up a side street but in the middle of Chester, has an excellent selection of cheeses but most importantly, sells Cheshire cheese.

Some amazing free tasters. I love buying different / unusual food, so I bought the toffee cheese which tastes amazing. Ill definitely be visiting again.
