Have been here a few times and always had a nice time seeing local music live. It's a small place but all's the better because it doesn't take many people to get a really nice vibe going.

To hot,and then went to bar to be told had to pay £3 entrance,they should paying ppl to stay,as its a sweat box,they said had aircon,but was awful still,assuming it was on,won't be going back

Been there a few times recently as wife owns Fujimoto over the road and have to say it's the friendliest bar I've been in, certainly in Southend.The Staropramen on tap is great too

Popped to peggys and wow....open mic night on a quiet night but fantastic little bar...Chris the owner was welcoming and I found it a intimate evening. Defo go back.If you like live music this is the place...not many bars like this exist....use it or loose it.
