My wife and I were very happy with the proactive service provided by Marcus Baum. Matt Clark and his team kept us informed in a friendly yet professional way. We faced a couple of late issues due entirely to others in the chain, which nearly jeopardised our purchase. Matt Clark stepped in and calmly resolved the issues, enabling the purchase to complete in good time. We had a really negative experience with BTMK unfortunately, and we expected a lot more considering they were priced quite high compared to others. During the whole process, we would call repeatedly and be told we would get a call back and then would have to chase again multiple times to get a call back. Our main contact only called us twice maybe three times during the whole process, and even planned and carried out exchange without telling us until after it happened and this was the first email from them in a month.As first time buyers you expect to be kept up to date with things especially as it is new to us, we found out all of our information from our sellers. Their solicitors including our mortgage advisor commented on their lack of communication and being able to get hold of them. Also could be an honest mistake, but after making a complaint to the managing director (which was never responded to) and finally completing, our cashback from our mortgage was sent to them and we were not aware and they kept this until we found out and called.

I was recommended Marcus Baum by my brother who was using them for the sale of his property. So I appointed them myself on my first time purchase of a property and I am very pleased that I did. The service was second to none and being a first time buyer and not knowing everything I was guided by them and they answered all of my questions (a lot) and put my mind at rest when there were a few worries. Yolanda Hollis was the person there dealing with my purchase and she was absolutely brilliant. I will definitely appoint them again if I need to and cannot recommend them highly enough. 5 stars.

We have recently completed on a relatively protracted purchase for which BTMK (specifically Joe Burns) acted for us on both the sale and purchase. Marcus Baum are a great solicitors that provides an efficient, personal service. They gave me regular updates with the progress and nothing seemed like too much trouble. My transaction went smoothly and in a timely manner. I wont be using anyone else and highly recommend.

WORST service I have ever experienced. I used this firm for buying my property. Very slow in delivering paperwork, very slow response times, very unorganised and badly managed my mortgage. Refused to return my deposit and refused to discuss my invoice compliant. STAY AWAY for your own benefit.
