St Charles R C Church

St. Charles Church tower stands impressive as a landmark in Aigburth road inviting us for the Divine Presence were we can find rest for our lives and souls. The interior of the church, being not lavishly decorated it's not distractefull leaving time for us to concentrate in prayer and adoration to God. We always feel welcome when we enter St.Charles doors.

A friendly church and a very kind priest- fr Johnson - greeted me at the end of Sunday mass - I will be coming back again !

Today was the first time I had been to this beautiful church. The two lady church wardens were very helpful in assisting people into church. Having only spoken to Father Ron Johnson on the phone i had the absolute pleasure of dealing with him personally today, and what a lovely and accommodating priest he is, he made things so much easier for everyone, especially as he carried out whatever the family’s wishes were. A lovely gent who I hope to work alongside again in the near future. Thank you Father Ron.

I had to deal with the preist (Father Ron Johnson) from this church for a funeral yesterday and I have to say he is one of the rudest and most unhelpful preists I have ever come across and I've worked with hundreds all over the UK.I was live streaming a funeral service for a family who were unable to attend due to covid. From the minute I met him he was unfriendly and unhelpful and when asked a couple of questions about what I needed to successfully live stream for the family, he actually promised me proceeded to shout at me.I've been doing this for over 12 years and never have I had a preist or vicar speak to me like this. It was remarkable how many people on the day were apologising for this man and sharing similar experiences.I don't like to leave negative reviews, but I have to question why this man does what he does?

The place of peace and harmony for me been to a lot of churches but this is were I've come to love faith again.

Went to a funeral at St.Charles really lovely church and the choir were so good it made this sad day much more pleasant.

During the pandemic this Church has supported my journey through it all the way and I cant thank you enough.The lady wardens/helpers at Saturday 6 o'clock mass, work really hard and I just wanted to say a big thank you to them.Fr Ron, I appreciate the dedication and effort that you have put in and you will probably never know how much its helped me and others.Thanks God +

Fr Ron is an exceptional priest with a wealth of experience. The church community is welcoming with a strong social conscious. Fresh ideas would be appreciated to get to know people to help develop Christian faith.

Very nice looking church

I have just watched a few videos on YouTube.on one was a funeral. Is this the same st Charles rc church which held the service for the famous world war two entertainer George Formby before he was laid to rest at Manchester road cemetery in warrington...look up( George formby funeral on YouTube).
