Great place to visit. This is one of the locations that Outlander was filmed in. There is free parking available with walks either into the harbour area or up into Ravenscraig Park, or going the other way into the historical town of Dysart. You can fish free of charge at the end of the pier, but it's better to go at high tide. Mackerel in the summer cod and flounder in the winter.

Dysart is a lovely wee place to visit. The Harbour cafe sells a good mesl. The museum is very people friendly. We had a chat with a few locals, which was very nice. We are going to visit this coastal line in the next few months. We have been given a few nice places to go and visit.

That’s the boats out of the water for winter. These photos are taken as Storm Babet lashes the east of Scotland. Massive high tides on the full moon saw the walls breached and these photos show the harbour close to full. The tides have eaten into the local shoreline to the south of the harbour. A new twist on the Outlander horizon and a scene many of the Outlander fans won’t have experienced on their tours and visits. Home of Fife Coast and Countryside Trust HQ and a lovely atmospheric restaurant and museum sustaining the old Harbourmasters House. Well worth a visit and a wander into neighbouring Ravenscraig Park with its new play equipment.

Great wee day out.The cafe is a wonderful little place to snack or eat. Might be an idea to book. The harbour is a great place to wander and walk. Spot the part of the village were Outlander was shoot.Good parking but not a lit of activities so bring your own. Plenty of space for the kids to run. But be carefull it's a working harbour and it can be hazardous.

Such a beautiful little place! Stroll between the boats and onto the beach. Talk to local fishermen. Have a bite and a coffee or tea at The Harbourmaster’s Cafe (Caution: very popular!!). Walk all the way to Ravenscraig Castle, either on the beach or the wooded walkway on top, or both. Great, peaceful place.
