What an amazing find this place is. As soon as you walk in you're greeted by cheerful helpful staff who genuinely seem happy to serve you. The quality of all of the products we have tried have exceeded my expectations, so fresh as flavourful. I also feel reassured by the knowledge they have about where their meat has come from, especially as I'm giving it to my family. I used to get my meat from the supermarket and the origin was always a concern and the quality questionable but it was more convenient however, Smith and Ellis can also deliver to your door and you can't get more convenient than that. We would recommend this place to everyone and we will continue to use them.

We've had a Xmas hamper this year and the meat was amazing. We will definitely be using here to get our meat in the future rather than a supermarket. Really tasty and good value for money. Thanks

Have been using Smith & Ellis for a couple of years now and never had any complaints about the service and quality of meat. Ordered a Christmas hamper for the first time this year and again not disappointed. Turkey was delicious and look forward to trying all the other meats in there.Would definitely recommend and wouldn’t go anywhere else now

Magnificent butchers run by great staff. The sausages are a particular highlight but everything they do is top quality. They really rose to the occasion during the pandemic too, a real community butchers. Head down there and try them out. You’ll not be disappointed.

All good. I first heard of this butchers from one of the owners on an App called Nextdoor. So I thought I'd give it a try. Went there on Sat 18th March 2023. I wanted some of their burgers they do that I've heard so much about, I bought 4. They were simple beef burgers with the onion in them, nothing fancy but decent quality. Got home cooked one and had it in a bun (hamburger). Very nice it was. It cooked evenly through out in my airfryer. So I recommend their burgers which were £1 each at the time I visited. Note they never had any on display. They were freshly made to order in a press. I'll try some of their sausages next time (which they did have on display). But I do have two criticisms. At the time I visited they didn't have any burgers on display in the chilled cabinet like they did in the photos shown on here which were also in different flavours and looked slightly thicker than the ones I bought, so that was a bit of a downer for me hence 4 stars. Also, I didn't see a price list up anywhere so I didn't actually know how much I was going to be charged until he rang it in the till. In this case £4 was fine (note I might have just not seen it). So if you are in the area and intend to buy some meat give this butchers a try. It's decent, clean and friendly with a huge variety of top quality produce. They even sell eggs! Thanks for reading.

Discovered this local Butchers a few months ago and this is our first Christmas having their food. We had a medium Christmas hamper and all the produce was exceptional. The turkey crown was so tasty and juicy and the ham and pigs in blankets were fantastic. Their sausages bacon and pork pie are the best ever. We have beef and pork for New Years in the freezer and have had this before so know it will be good. I don’t buy any meat from the supermarket anymore but just do a meat order on line every few weeks which they deliver for free. Brilliant friendly local firm using local produce that I am very happy to support - here’s to superb meals in our house from now on! Well done.

A spectacular service, the team went over and beyond for my Christmas delivery. Now to the food I have not found a butchers before with the quality of meat I get from here and the pies and hunters chicken are simply the best around, can't wait to eat my turkey looks sublime. I can't reccomend these guys enough A*****

Friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Good value for what you want. Used my shin of beef and can honestly say it melted in the mouth.
