Kirkby Stephen and Appleby Spar's have a decent frozen section however prices seem to have gone up. This Spar in Appleby seems to usually have at least couple staff on the shop floor which is good. Good service.

Friendly staff and a good mix of produce. Its only a small store. I would say just enough room if you have a wheelchair. Disabled parking is very close by.

My baby and I are so grateful for this store! We were here on holiday, and this store happened to be open on Sunday and had children's paracetamol. The ladies behind the counter were smiling and friendly with us, making sure we had everything else we needed.

On 3 April 2017 I found 2 mozzarella Granarolo expired one 2/2017 and one 3/2017. I received refund. Lovely woman.

Over chatged by 66% for potatoes, no sorry no apology, in fact not a word. Basic courtesy missing, so sad in a shop this size........
