The Caravan Club

The only advantage of this site is the location very near to York centre, not a very attractive site either not for amount your paying, the facilities were very clean but they started cleaning the toilets and showers at 10am when your on your hols you expect to be able to have a little lie in but you cant if you want to use the the amenities, also you would think when the toilets are being cleaned you would be able to use the disabled toilets but this is not the case, the grass was quite long and wasnt cut the 6 dsys we were there and the weather was dry, We have stayed at this site a few years ago but we would not return in a hurry.

It's all about the location within walking distance of the city of York. A very busy site and all gravel hard stand pitches. Pitches I find tend to be on the small side if you have a big unit and an early departure needed, 11am. Good facilities, wardens can be a little stressed due to all the activity on site but they do the job. Gets booked up every weekend so either book early or check for cancellations. But overall well worth going to.

Rowntree Park club site excellent facilities and only 2 minutes walk from good shops and cafes and only 5-10 minutes walk from centre of York and all of its shops and attractions.

Our first visit to this CCC site. It was so appealing, friendly staff, lovely well kept site, beautiful facilities, in the heart of York. A must for any stay. Fabulous.. We'll definitely be back. Thank-you for a very enjoyable stay.

Clean, very friendly, and amazing location for visiting York.

Great location for exploring York and surrounding area peaceful despite being so close to city centre, local shops and restaurants a short walk away some offering discounts to site users. Staff friendly and helpful.

This is probably the third time we have stayed in York at the Rowntree camp site. The staff are so accommodating, friendly and polite. The plots are spacious and well maintained. The facilities are always clean and well stocked. With a ten minute walk to town and numerous places to visit and enjoy the local fares. Possibly my favourite site. I would definitely recommend.
