Lovely - absolutely no complaints. Went with my 13 year old and 11 year old. We regularly stay at YHA Sheringham / Whitby, stayed here as a child so was nice to bring these two. Friendly welcome, great size room (we ended up with a private 5 bed room for the 3 of us), clean facilities, good kitchen, lounge and family room. Kids would have liked WiFi or phone signal - but I was quite glad there was none! :-)

Overall a good standard of accommodation. Clean and comfortable but one area for improvement would be more storage space for back packs and luggage. Apart from one coat hanger rack there was no closet or chest of drawers in the room I stayed in. I would have given this hostel a higher rating. However, I am disappointed on this occasion. Neither is the members kitchen big enough for the number of people using it during busy periods. That said, good communication at the checkout.

Very friendly team and relaxed atmosphere.Nice surrounding with museum, old & nice buildings, canal with ducks.Bought& enjoyed a very good capucino & juice in the morning in YHA.Shortest trail suggested is often without views of the stream, walking on the street or very narrow/dangerous pavements. We did a shortcut on the EU brigde (not the red iron bridge) and it was still too long and not a joy even we have kids (7&9y) who enjoy hiking normally. We would suggest to make even a smaller trail (round), starting north, using the narrow high footbridge over the stream after the canal & YHA.

Lovely location and staff, but experience spoiled by broken heating system during the entire, very cold weekend. Bedrooms fine, but kitchen and dining/living room very cold. I won't be returning another winter.

What 3 Words /// stopped.easygoing.commencedCoalport YHA is set next to the China clay museum. There is plenty of parking, but you need to make sure your car reg has been added on to exempt list by YHA staff. The building an old Victorian office/ factory which has lots of character and the conversation has been very well done.If you have stayed in YHA before things are very similar, set in a lovely area with friendly bouncy staff willing to advise you about local area. There are some walks nearby, one about 45 min walk to Ironbridge along a disused rail track. The hostel serves food and alcohol. There is a key fob entry system to get to the rooms as well as the shared kitchen, with fridges a washing machine and drying room. With the key fob system if you with someone you might need two keys as if one wants to go to room the other will not be able to go down the corridor unless you have a fob. The place is very clean. Overall a great place to stay. There are a number of pubs within walking distance as well as the main attractions of Ironbridge. Bliss Hill Museum is nearby by but the road is too narrow to walk up.

What a great experience. This hostel is right next to so many historically important places and very accessible for Ironbridge and Telford, particularly by bicycle.I hadn't been to a hostel for 25 years, but they've really updated things. You have the opportunity to book a private room or even an ensuite if you want, so you could bring a young family. But the community aspects are still there: you can self cater, there are shared lounges and people are willing to chat. I don't think I'll ever go to a Premier Inn or Travelodge again if there's a yha hostel nearby!
