I visited last Saturday (9th July) with my husband and middle daughter as she had bought this for me for my birthday. It was well signposted and easy to find and the setting is stunning with lovely views all around.Sarah did our tour and she was lovely from the outset, friendly and welcoming and always happy to answer any questions. The tour was fun and informative and I will not look at a glass of wine again without thinking of Sarah and family getting up at 11pm on a cold night to light the candles to keep the vines warm!We were then shown the winery and the pressing, vats and bottling all explained - we loved Sarah original labelling machine" - good old Lego!!Sarah served us tastings of the wines - white (yummy)

Really interesting place to visit and learn about the highs and lows of creating a vineyard. Great tour of the vines and winery and the wine tasted great! Beautiful setting, great big beautiful cafe with lots of space and a really warm welcome from every person working there. Stick this place on your to do list!

My dad was visiting from Sweden and we were really impressed with the food, surroundings and staff. It’s like a little piece of Devon heaven and now a firm favourite. Would highly recommend

One of the rainiest days of the year and flooded roads which could've turned us back, but worth the visit! Lovely food, ambient atmosphere and super clean restaurant and loos.

Had a really good father's day at Alder Vineyard. Tom's tour was brilliantly done and we all learnt loads. Cafe was great afterwards too, they found something for us despite us being pains with multiple food intolerances so that was impressive. Food was great, as were the hot drinks. The wines were amazing and we'll definitely be back when the rosé is ready to sell. Loved meeting Manny too. Thank you.

Blessed with a lovely day, the vineyard trail was both informative, informal and most interesting, finishing with a taste of Alder's delicious wines. We also booked a meal in the cafe - being a cafe more than a full-grown restaurant, the meals are of the smaller variety, BUT the quality of the food is exceptional, all local and the dishes have a touch of imagination to them. Would recommend very highly indeed.

We were given this as Christmas present from our children. Tom was a great tour guide around the vineyard and very knowledgeable about both the vines and the wines. It was great to see a family working together to create a great experience. We wish we could have stayed on for the music.

I gave this vineyard tour as a Christmas present for my husband and daughter. My husband is Chairman of a wine tasting group. We all enjoyed the tour , learning how the family started their journey into winemakers.Tom was very passionate and informative. It was very interesting to learn about the vines and how they are grown and split. It is a lot of work that the family all pitch in. Dad was working in the vineyard,.We then went to see where the wine was pressed and stored and bottled, all very informative. We tasted the white and the rose wine and both were lovely. We then went to the cafe where we had a delicious lunch cooked by Tom's wife and served by his mum. All the food on offer was locally sourced and it was delicious. We all had a glass of wine of course. The tour and the lunch was excellent.
