Had a really lovely afternoon tea today as a birthday treat. We were served by Shapna who was so helpful and made our day relaxing and enjoyable. Will certainly be returning to try other meals and facilities.Would highly recommend.

I visited with a friend for coffee and refreshments and have done on a few occasions now, so I've only experienced the Garden Coffee House. It's a wonderful and relaxing place with a lovely atmosphere in a hidden setting. Shapna looked after us beautifully - she's incredibly attentive and greets you with a beautiful smile as you walk in.I haven't stayed at the hotel, nor have I experienced any spa treatments...yet!

The pool and jacuzzi and changing rooms are very very old, tired, dirty and generally unpleasant. It’s certainly not a spa to go and treat yourself with. They charged £85 for a 30 minute treatment and use of spa. At the UKS number 1 spa, Boringdon for £60 you get a 1hr treatment and full day use of spa. This place shouldn’t really be called a spa, it’s more a practical swimming pool. There’s nowhere private to change, unless you’re ok trying to change in a smelly loo. It really desperately needs a full refurb. The relaxation room was ok, though.I had a massage with Christina at Enlighten Your Essence. I was given a cold, very wet massage couch, the towels were greasy, she hadn’t changed anything since the last massage person had soaked into it. It was really not pleasant. The head and shoulder massage wasn’t so much a massage, more a few rushed brushes and odd taps. Unfortunately I could smell strong cigarette smoke. It was hugely rushed and not at all relaxing, I had to stop myself from bursting out laughing at how bad it was. I understand from my friend that her earlier massage was ok, and I was the last of the day, so I guess I got the short straw there. I just wish I hadn’t had to pay! I don’t like writing reviews like this as people are human and I mean no offence- it’s just really important that others are prepared and honest reviews are what reviewing is all about.

Went to the spa for the olive experience and loved every second of it. The food was lovely and obviously of high quality. The sauna was quaint and relaxing. We also enjoyed the hot tube and relaxation room. The only reason it loses a star is the steam room didn't work properly. Steam didn't generate and what little we had could escape under the door. But would highly recommend the experience. Great value for money

Had the get muddy spa experience and feel I have wasted my money. The whole spa itself is grotty, dirty, run down and tired looking. Each element of the spa (sauna, steam room, swimming pool, jacuzzi, treatment spa room) just grossed me out due to how dirty it looked. Tape on the ceiling, the walls falling apart, algae and mould in the cracks and tiles, foaming in the jacuzzi, unpleasant smell all around. The spa is oddly laid out down old worn down carpeted corridors and up dirty concrete steps. It Did not feel relaxing one bit and actually made me feel uncomfortable and I wanted to leave as soon as possible. The muddy experience was not great. Again the treatment room was dirty, old and not pleasant to be in. The showers were cold. The towels provided were smelly and old (frayed).Honestly a waste of money and felt more stressed after the experience.

Lovely place to have lunch, setting was beautiful. The venue was also very pleasant and lunch perfect.Left with millionaires shortbread, possibly simple , but definitely the best ever. Thank you, to the member of staff who said it was as good as I looked !

Spa is not worth £55 , the sauna is not hot , to save money you have to switch it on and off when using , so does not get chance to properly heat. Steam room ok but very dated . Cafe was nice and staff pleasant …. The spa was very over priced and tired looking …..

Always great service from Shapna. The cafe is very well run and there is an excellent selection of cakes and light bites after aqua Zumba. Parking is plentiful and free. This cafe should be much busier as it is clean, spacious and organised.
