I have been attending the classes offered by LBK and they have been so rewarding and enriching. Jenni and the team are so patient and knowledgeable, giving expert advice with passion for bike and with genuine joy to pass on their guidance. You can see heartfelt pride when we start to learn, what the bike components are for, and how they work together, and then how to apply the skills ourselves. Their passion and the ability to learn in a relaxed, judgement free, environment made the experience all the better.Thank you so much for everything, I have already put my teachings into practice and will ensure I pass on the wisdom to others when not practicing myself. I am no longer afraid to adjust components on the bike and have a sense of pride and achievement from being able to discuss my bike in depth with others and identify potential problems. Can't wait to return for the planned classes in the future. Thanks everyone x

LBK is an amazing place. They will fix your bike (or show you how to fix your bike) and they'll do it 100 times better than halfords. They'll sell you the right bits if you need them, or tell you where to find things if they don't have them. They run amazing classes and the email newsletter is great - lots of tips and tricks and general niceness. So much more than a repair shop. Please support this business. They are the best.

So, the London Bike Kitchen is about bikes, it does not serve food. LBK was my second stop having first been redirected from the first bike shop Tokiobike on Old Street (reader, I walked it) as they didn't have the parts I needed to fix my unexpected puncture.Amy was so nice. She didn't have the right tyre size either but she directed me to my third shop and persuaded me I could walk to Haggerston (see my other review on the lovely Better Health Bikes). On my way back home at the end of the day, my bike went clacky, very technical term. I popped by, no appointment - but Amy and her co-worker (Hayley - I hope I remembered her name right) were really kind - took a look, tested my bike, and with lots of patient loving care fixed the clack. Five Star Service. It's the little things that count and they wouldn't take any payment. Will be trying out one of their training courses so I can learn real technical terms and how to look after my bike better!

Regularly get my bike serviced by the brilliant folks at London Bike Kitchen <3I recently tried to change my stem and hit a bit of a block with it. Emailed Bike Kitchen who said they’d happily help sort it out for me but first gave me some tips, a link to a how to video and some words of encouragement to have another go and I did it :D thanks LBK!

I attended the Intro to Maintenance class at LBK and it was hands down the best bike maintenance classes I've ever taken. I asked so many of the little questions I've always wondered about bikes, learnt so much about the bike I've had for 10+ years and came away feeling mighty and empowered and ready to take on a puncture if needed! Totally recommend!

London Bike Kitchen is an absolute gem. I have had multiple bikes repaired or serviced there and each and every time, the job has been outstanding. Like getting a brand new bike back. I have done a couple of classes and plan to do more to build my own ability and grow my sense of empowerment. The team at LBK are amazing - for once I don’t feel like I am going into a lion’s den to be robbed for a poor quality service. Instead, you get proper, unbiased advice from a really nice person who clearly know what they are doing. I absolute can not recommend LBK enough. Take your bike there. Now! You won’t regret it.

Jenni and Hayley put on a fabulous bespoke class for us, specifically tailored to road side repairs during ultra distance races. It was cosy in the LBK workshop, and I felt the course was well structured. It was a lot of information (and many many notes) but we made great progress in the three hours that we had planned.Topics we went through:- broken spokes (hayley kindly gave us some Fiber Fix to take away)- broken cables- torn tyres- bent derailleur- chain coming off- broken chain- tubeless puncture repair (ubeless tyre boot and tubeless puncture repair kit included)- what to pack with you for maintenanceI particularly enjoyed and learned a great amount about what to do when the rear derailleur is beyond a road side repair - convert the bike to single speed! How cool! I also now can describe my gearing in terms of high and low without getting super confused - Thanks Hayley!!

Loved this bit-size nugget of learning. Felt very comfortable and in safe hands right from the get-go. Left feeling that we had really covered off everything I had wanted to know and fully competent in how to change a tyre and knowing my way around my bicycle! Highly recommend.

Not just a wonderful shop and repair place, but a community resource. I really loved the class I took, I have a basis of knowledge and I grew from there but also a complete beginner would enjoy. Also, definitely subscribe to their newsletter - it is always a great read (funny AND useful). Thanks for all you do!
