A week to go till Christmas and they have no Christmas chocolates left and only one box of mixed chocolates left. A wasted journey and a waste of time. Staff seemed upbeat even though they had nothing to sell.

Had a 99 type ice cream. Strangely the chocolate strip instead of flake was not very nice and a bitter.

Wouldn't recommend went here a while ago, ended up being asked to leave as I mistook some cretinous body butter for Nutella, thinking it was a nice chocolate tasting sample I ended up with a mouthful of nasty cream, why would you sell body butter in a chocolate shop and not put a warning up that it was body butter and not chocolate?!?!?!??? Wouldn't even recommend using the body butter as it tasted bad.

Friendly staff and pleasant place to shop for my favourite food. Surprisingly cheap prices for the certain chocolate. And the taste is better than others suppliers except perhaps Thornton's.

The shop is very small but staff are extremely friendly and helpful, went out of there way to fetch some chocolate that was off site for us to take home and saved us calling back another day

What a great friendly shop hotel chocolate is. My friend has numerous allergies and only like certain chocolates and the staff are very knowledgeable and will help you identify which ones are relevant to your needs. I have also tried this year, there's salted caramel liqueur with Clementine. Very nice

As someone who worked years in retail, the staff at this store need retraining. Walked in shop,was empty no customers. Two staff sat at the till, neither made any acknowledgement of a customer being in the store, not even a hi"! They were more engrossed in their conversation about Dumbledor and Was in for over 5 minutes finally left. Had the intention of buying some gifts. But will be going to the Birmingham city centre store staff are much nicer and much more helpful."

I treat myself to a selector every time I go to merry hill. Usually one that's on offer which means I am continuously trying new flavours. I chuckle when I am reminded that the sell by date is close as they're usually gone in a day or so such delicious food
