Choosing such items is a special experience, made even more so by Michael and his staff.I can always spot a diamond bought from Michael’s shop for its stunningly beautiful and unique sparkle.

My wife wanted to add stones to her engagement ring to celebrate beating breast cancer. Micheal proffered great advice throughout on design and stones to use, ordered in gems for my wife to compare colours and produced a stunning piece of jewelry that delighted my wife at a price that delighted me. Thoroughly recomended.

Me and my fiancee went in looking for wedding rings (after successfully buying an incredible platinum engagement ring with three diamonds two years ago), we were dealt with by a shop assistant who was fantastic. He talked through all the materials and asked all the right questions, we finished with a plain platinum band for my fiancee and I found the perfect titanium ring. Excellent service, we never felt rushed and he wasn't pushy at all. Really chuffed with the all three rings, at an excellent price. I can only recommend for buying rings.

A one star rating for this place is generous. Avoid this establishment. My daughter took my Cartier watch to this shop this week and asked if the owner would look at the watch as it is not currently working. After being made to wait over an hour for the watch to be looked at, the shop assistant returned it to my daughter and charged her £10 for a new battery. The watch still did not work. Neither the owner or the assistant explained to my daughter that the watch was still not working. Instead they handed it back to her STILL NOT WORKING and made her pay £10 for nothing. They didn't even bother to provide any advice on what steps my daughter could take to have the watch properly fixed. They simply took advantage of the fact that my daughter was young. So for that, you receive this poor rating.

DO NOT USE THIS JEWELLERS.I took my limited edition watch into this shop for a new battery. When it was returned it had significant damage on the casing as a result of a ham fisted attempt to replace the battery.When questioned as to how the damage happened the owner refused to admit liability, was rude and blatantly dishonest throughout.The watch was a personalised souvenir of my military service and irreplaceable, a fact which was of no interest to this alleged 'watch repairer'. Avoid this jeweller at all costs, most of the reviews say exactly the same. Not even close to 1 star service.

We used Michael Lynes on a previous occasion to purchase our wedding rings and returned recently to buy an eternity ring. The level of expertise and professionalism was exceptionally high and Michael ensured that the whole experience was a memorable one. We would highly recommend. Thank you Michael.

Stay clear if Michael Lynes in Witney.We took an antique ring in there, they butchered it...had my wife in tears there and then. When we said the dainty gold had gone (1920’s period) and a thick band was added, they asked me to leave the shop!Horrid place and no skill or empathy for family jewellery.

Unfortunately I must agree with all the bad ratings. I took my Cartier Panther watch to have a new battery put in. After waiting 3 weeks and paying £ 55, my watch never worked. I had it sent to a Cartier workshop who charged £ 299 to repair the watch. Furthermore the customer serviceis far from friendly or competent. Very disappointing experience.

My husband bought me a ruby and diamond ring for our anniversary. Shortly after collecting the ring following resizing, I noticed a diamond was missing so had to return. The staff hadn't checked the ring before calling us to collect it, and they didn't apologise.After collecting the rectified ring, we can see that the replaced diamond is different. We're not diamond experts so we can't say what is wrong - but there is something different about the way it catches the light - and it's not acceptable that we can tell a diamond was replaced.The owner was very defensive and rude, and said all the stones were exactly the same. Wouldn't recommend buying any jewellery from here due to poor customer service and workmanship.

Visited this shop for the first time today, as we were visiting Witney,for the first time also. Stunning range of jewellery in the windows, and more inside. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, a joy to purchase from!
