Singer Sewing Centre

Had a really bad experience with this place bought a quilt ambition 630 sewing machine .3 months later have to take the machine back with a small problem i sought.But instead he open the machine and broke the connector to the motherboard then glow it back together destroying my machine.Have a go to another technician to be repair and have a new motherboard.I will never put my foot in this shop again i will give 1 star but you don't deserve it in my review i will give 0 star.

I took a brother machine in for a service.. the results were amazing, the machine is so much quieter and smoother running... I shall be back next year for next service... the store is a bit small so not disabled friendly but the staff will come out and assist you if unable to get in... parking is not available directly outside but a small walk to visit this Aladdin cave is worth it. A good selection of parts and accessories held in store..

Bought 2 machines this year from here and very happy. I go in having a strong idea of what I'm looking for and am always happy with the advice/recommendation given.

My machine was serviced and repaired. The shop lost my power lead. And offered to replace it with apower lead that had an old plug on it with wires sticking out. I did manage to get the lady in the shop to find me a power lead with a fused plug. When I brought my machine home it was still missing stiches.So I've taken it elsewhere. The timing is still out so I wasted my money and time going to the Wakefield shop.

Some of the reviews on here almost put me off using this shop, but I called to make an enquiry first. The gentleman was very helpful so I subsequently visited the shop. I have received a first class service and been very satisfied with the way I was treated. Nothing was too much trouble and I will definitely continue to use this shop!

I have never been in a shop with such a grumpy shop owner. Very rude and talks to you like he really doesn't want to help you and you are stupid. I live in Wakefield and now travel to Huddersfield for my supplies, to a shop with very friendly staff who are more than willing to help!

As previously reviewed the lady assistant tries to be helpful amid the chaos she has to work in. Very unsatisfactory experience with manager/owner. Claimed my machine would cost at least £100 to repair, wanted me to purchase replacement from him. Obviously unhappy when I said I wanted my machine back, took three trips to Wakefield to achieve this as initially transformer left behind in workship and then shop closed during stated opening hours. Took machine to another mechanic, fixed completely and serviced for only £39, told it was a 'good machine'. Also that mechanic found fluff as soon as he opened case, questioned if it had even been opened before being condemned? Beware, better to deal with a skilled mechanic than a salesman.

Totally agree with the people who say the owner is rude and obnoxious and totally does not want to help. His customer service is zero. Can't believe he is still in business. He fobbed me off with an item that was not compatible with my sewing machine and when I returned it, he would not refund me. Will never set foot inside that shop again. Pity you have to give 1 star to post a review as he does not deserve any at all.

Very helpful, excellent prices, loads of support, all round great. An abundance of sewing accessories available, just can't fault the place. All the sewing accessories you could need under one roof, including new machines for beginners or experienced quilters even trade in for your old machine, pre loved, refurbished machines if your on a budget. Repairs, servicing, advise, this little place has it all!! I dont think they could be beatin on price either, I got an excellent deal, beating other quotes by £150!!! Great place, cant recommend enough.
