As someone is pretty clueless when it comes to cars, Chris and Steve have always made me feel reassured with their honest and professional approach. They have gone out of their way to help me on a number of occasions. I can't recommend them highly enough.

We used C&V for a Van service after our regular garage were unable to take our van. We now plan to use them regularly for both car and van. The service we received was excellent with really clear communication and explanation about the issues the van had.Everything was fixed quickly and both Chris and Steve were very friendly and professional.

Friendly, relaxed, and honest service. Had a cambelt/pump replacement done and it was turned around in the same day under quoted hours. Was really pleased with the reliability and helpful explanations and notes given on the pickup. Will definitely return!

I have been coming here for as long as I can remember and I have always been deeply impressed by the knowledge, professionalism, attention to detail, honesty and personal integrity that Steve and Chris offer. Prices are extremely fair to the extent where I don't even look for quotes when I need to have work done - I simply phone C&V. Steve and Chris are extremely pleasant and I would consider them both to be personal friends. C&V Auto Services is a rare 'hidden gem' in Bristol and I would highly recommend them to you.

I've tried a fair few garages in Bristol (and further) - I found C & V Auto when I broke down on the motorway and was towed to their garage - 100% recommend. They gave a really excellent, professional and friendly service explaining all my options and did a great repair on our car. Since then, they are my go-to garage as I can always trust them to do a good job, and have been to them on several occasions (Carburettor repair, MOT, Cambelt + water pump).I've recommended to a few friends who have also had good experiences.

Save your money and don’t bother with this place. I brought my car here for a diagnosis, was called back the same day to be advised my engine needs new glow plugs which I agreed to and was told my turbo actuator could be faulty so they will get a price for a new one and let me know the next day. I was called the next day late morning only to be told they have carried out some further investigation into the fault and will be charging me for 2 hours labour which not once I had mentioned I wanted doing (was then told it was to save me money in the long run, they still couldn’t work out what was wrong with it and for that cost I could have had a new part fitted!) When I came to pick my car up I said I was not happy with it, however was told if I decide to get a new actuator I will not be charged for the labour - seemed okay at the time (then it turned out it’s only a 20 minute job). I left it as the car seemed fine (was told to keep an eye on it) and had other things going on so it was not my priority. Just recently my car started coming up with an engine fault code, which I had diagnosed elsewhere - again, it was the actuator (wasn’t scammed this time, as they only took 40 minutes to investigate it, surprisingly) - called CV to ask if they can source a new actuator like they promised only to be avoided for 2 weeks and only when I approached again asking for my money back I was told they tried calling me to say there are none available. I had no missed calls whatsoever so if they cared enough to let me know, could have responded to one of my emails but that never happened either. Few emails later, after being talked to like I’m a child struggling to understand (it’s pretty simple, I was forced to pay for work I never wanted done), I was told they will not be wasting any more time on me, better yet - the garage I have taken it to recently advised the actuator was never moved from the turbo (which is what the 2 hour labour I was charged for included). The fact I was dodged suggests they never intended to do the work, acted surprised I never got any notifications after they allegedly tried calling me (doubt this was the case) They are really having a hard time admitting their own fault but I guess none of it matters since everything’s already been paid for. Awful to deal with, all the emails they’ve sent suggest I am in the wrong and it’s me who misunderstood everything from the start. I would recommend to anyone considering going elsewhere as this place is lacking honesty and integrity.The owner's response speaks volumes - they seemingly cannot admit being at fault. I never requested further diagnosis from this garage and was forced to pay for such, end of. I could have had a NEW ACTUATOR which they already knew was faulty fitted for the same amount of money that they took to diagnose the fault (what's there to diagnose.- part needed replacing?). I will not be changing my review which is based on MY experience and have actual emails to prove the awful treatment I had received from this garage, ridiculous!

Been using these guys for the past couple of years since moving to Bristol for two cars, they're both always really honest and friendly. Repairs are done to an excellent standard and at a good price. Best garage I've used, recommend highly.

Such friendly, genuine and gentle guys. I've never been to a garage where I have felt so comfortable as a lone female, this place is not intimidating at all. They persisted with a small and low-value repair over a few visits until they got it sorted for me, and always took the time to explain in detail what was going on, showing me photos and the part that they had removed. I'd come back here without hesitation, a pleasure to deal with!

Honest, reliable and incredibly friendly. C&V were able to do the work on our car when another large company were unable to do it. We will be going straight to C&V in the future as they were reasonably priced and did quality work. Thanks guys!

You could not ask for a more reliable, friendly and honest company than this one. For garage mechanics those three words in one sentence are almost unheard of, but for C&V Auto Services it is very true. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
