Completed the Carnival of Curiosities yesterday. Great value for money, an hour of using your bran power and having fun. Little technical issues but ladies on-site communicated that and helped us with clues whilst we were waiting for monitor to come back on.It isn't the most up-to-date with regards props and games but maybe that is also its charm.Bit of spooky background music would have helped with atmosphere and difficult to see numbers on padlocks so had to use phone torch - but all-in-all a worthwhile experience.

If I wasn't so rubbish it would be a 5, looking back I'm not so much of a logical thinker and this clearly showed me, never the less would still highly recommend, great for character building and bringing people together....The lady that was there to greet me and take us through it was very nice and polite.........

6 of us went here I thought it was brilliant it was our first one ever and we loved it, sasha was amazing,.Just need some signs near by to find the place...Will definitely go back to do the other room.

My first escape room experience...went with some friends not really knowing what to expect and it was brilliant! The tasks were harder than I thought they would be, but with a little help with clues from Sasha and her new colleague, we managed to complete it in the 60 minute time limit....great fun! The way to the entrance could be better signposted. The entrance is next to Essex Street car park. Will definitely go and try a different escape room in there.

We found this really fun and clearly explained beforehand. I had never done it before but would definitely try another room some time. They have other escape rooms in Chelmsford and Colchester

Did not think the games master was that great, the room was dated, things didn't appear to work straight away when we done them then just happened randomly ages after like the games master wasn't paying attention to our game and she kept coming in the room. Been to much better games with other companies. It was disappointing compared to what we were expecting.

Done both the current rooms, and they were both fun times. Finished both with time to spare too!Very helpful staff (Sasha was lovely), and can't wait for new rooms to arrive!

Booked for my daughter and 5 of her friends - All 16. One of our party was running a little late, staff (Sasha i think) was very understanding and it wasn't a problem. The briefing gave the kids all the necessary details about the process which was great for anyone new to an escape room. The kids really enjoyed it, completed with 5 mins to spare! Was pretty easy to find, the website states the entrance is around the back. Accessible from East Street car park.Great bit of fun!
