DVSA Driving Test Centre

Thank you Derek! Never thought I’d find a driving test as comfortable as he made it. Was very easy to talk to and didn’t seem rude in any way! If it was a thing for people to pick their examiner I’d tell people to choose Derek 100%. Definitely the nicest examiner I’ve taken a test with and was definitely a factor in why I passed! My nerves have gotten the best of me before which lead to me failing, but he helped keep me calm and collected from start to finish!

Did my test here about a year ago. My examiner, whose name I think was Simon made the atmosphere friendly for me. I was myself in the 40mins session, never needing to hold myself out as an expert driver in the UK (I’d been driving elsewhere for about two decades) after just about a year of driving here in the UK.So, just like I passed my theory test in one sitting (48 out of 50), I also didn’t have to repeat the practicals.Many thanks to the team and Mr. Simon in particular.Edward OJO

Due to my staggering failure rate I have visited this test centre on a huge number of occasions and everytime the staff and examiners have been really kind and helpful.In a way, I hope I'll not see them too often in 2024 but if I do, I will at least know I'm in good hands.

It was not a very good experience. The instructor was very rude. Did not give directions properly. I really felt that she had already made her mind to fail me. While i was readjusting the parking manoeuvre for second time, she asked me to cancel it.

Had a issue with a tyre having damage and not being able to go out on test. Derek was super helpful in helping me arrange a cancellation on the same day. All staff I spoke to on that day were professional and supportive but I wanted to mention Derek especially.

South Glos council asked this place to advise instructors in 2014 not to constantly use Hill House Rd & Burley Grove as a big learning roundabout, from 7am to 10pm, 7 days a week!! It seems the advice has either never materialised or has just been totally ignored, making residents lives constantly miserable. Please instructors Give Us a rest & VARY your routes!!

I am critical with my reviews, as I'm sure you all know. However. And this is a big 'however'.Lisa, in team 8, is actually a legend. She was well beyond helpful. She even waited on the phone with me whilst I tried to sort money to pay for my test. 20 minutes, she waited for me. I was unable to get the money needed without making a phone call.When I called the DVSA back, I was lucky enough to get her again. Before speaking with this young lady, I had all but given up. Here comes Lisa and, literally, makes my entire year by getting me booked in the day before my birthdayWhat a credit to her company!She is the best thing to happen to me, this year

Nice test centre. Clean well maked out bays, clean loo's and waiting room. My daughter,said her examiner Charles was very helpful and softSpeaking. I sat in on the debriefing which was very helpful. I being an ex ADI and an RAC/ACU instructor, feel this is one of the best test centres I’ve been to. Test date 30th March 2023. Many thanks for your help and kindness.
