The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation
A wonderful organisation that works in the heart of the community of Northampton. Unbelievably responsive to the growing needs of the community, especially with those who need it the most. The social groups hosted by the team bring such a sense of belonging for the users. And everyone keeps an eye out for each other. This is such a unique organisation and I've never seen such consistent dedication on all my years as a community worker. The support the team offers in the community and the food banks for schools and members of the community no doubt relieve many of stress and anxiety in these hard times. Especially during school holidays. Ever expanding, growing and adapting to cater for the diverse, multicultural, society that is Northampton. It's a privilege to know Theresa and the team who are switched on 24/7. Always finding a way to help.

I'm proud to have played a small part in helping The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation on it's journey from a Covid locked-down pub to a foodbank and so much more. Teresa and her amazing volunteers have helped countless people in the community since they began, and the work never stops. Now the pub is fully open, Teresa continues to expand the foundations range of help to those in need to include the very popular Monday Club which offers a warm and friendly place for more isolated people to meet.I wish Teresa and her team continued success and growth over the coming years, helping thousand more people on the way.A truly outstanding Foundation that deserves all the funding and recognition it gets.Keep up the incredible work.

I am pleased to give a 5-star review for this amazing charity. They have gone up and beyond for the Northampton community since lockdown and continue to do so with supporting those that need help. I brought my Mum over to a few of their events and she was delighted to be able to support this charity, they are unquestionably person centred and I wish they every luck whilst they continue to grow.

I was one of the first recipients of the kindness and support of the Foundation, following the loss of my husband and the subsequent lockdowns. Teresa McCarthy the founder gave me a lot of support through my struggle in this strange empty world without my husband. During the lockdowns I and many others were supplied with food and supplies accompanied by a friendly chat at the door. Between lockdowns the volunteers did decorating to brighten up my home, replaced some of my furniture and also cleared and tidied my garden. I was one of the original Monday Club members when the very first meeting took place with a few invited couples and some widowed and lonely people who had been isolated during lockdown because of vulnerability. We all enjoyed it and got on really well. I have made good friends through the foundation which like the Monday club has gone from strength to strength, mainly due to the friendship,. kindness and care with which they treat people. They did far more for me than just practical help. They made my life worth living again.

A charity with limited expectations. All at the McCarthy Dixon foundation should be very proud to be involved in such a very worthy ongoing cause. I know Teresa personally and it makes me proud to be Irish in Northampton when I see the things that she and her brilliant crew make happen for the less fortunate. and all for charity.Well done to you and all your team. Keep up the great work. 5 stars deserved

Teresa McCarthy and her dedicated team of volunteers at the McCarthy-Dixon Foundation have helped countless people in the local community including schools, the Council, the NHS and especially the elderly and vulnerable who always need all the help they can get.Amongst the many things the Foundation provide are a food bank, food larder, shopping vouchers, cookery classes, hairdresser and help with renovating peoples houses and gardens.During the covid pandemic volunteers known as Doorstep Buddies" regularly visited the lonely and elderly to check on their welfare and provided them with a gift and a much needed doorstep chat.A regular "Monday Club" is also held every week in the Swan & Helmet where the local community meet up for a social afternoon and enjoy live music and homemade food. The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation is a truly outstanding charity that deserves all the recognition and funding it can get.No surprise that Teresa fully deserved to win the ITV Anglia West Pride of Britain Award in 2021.A fully deserved one big thank you to the McCarthy-Dixon Foundation for all the much needed help they provide to the local community."

Since the pandemic began, Teresa and her team have provided extra support to our school community via food bags, shopping vouchers and breakfast boxes. The foundation also donated several laptops for our school which, along with everything else, has not only led to improved learning but has strengthened relationships with our families. We are very proud to be associated with The McCarthy-Dixon Foundation and look forward to working with them in the future.Johanne MartenAbington Vale Primary School
